Considering bsc is often look down upon, the curriculum has really changed that opinion of mine as the syllabus aligns with iits and that's pretty cool as well. You get hands on practical experience as well

Companies like ab in ev, silver piston, dabur, colagte pamolive, bcg, mckinsey etc come to our college to high students of bms/bfia but for bsc students there is no such known companies that come on campus and roles are diverse

Placement Experience

The placements of the college are particularly high than your traditional du colleges, recently a student of bms course got 19lpa on campus. When im talking about average package it ranges from 8-13lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

Considering I'm in delhi university, the fee structure is very affordable but also the fact my course is a bit more technical than your traditional bcom courses hence the fees is a bit more than usual being 30k per year but still it's worth the money and there's no such thing as scholarships

Campus Life

Society's are a very huge part of my college and it is equally difficult to get into the top societys but it's assured that once you get into the top socs you will get hands on experience of live projects and internships that are a major plus in your resume.

Admission

So in order to get into the college i had to give cuet and the subjects i had given were accounts maths business studies economics and english. The money spent on application form was around 1500 and that of Csas portal (du portal) was somewhere around 1500-3000

Faculty

The teachers are always available for your queries and doubts but like all colleges, they come with variety so you might find some very supportive teachers whereas some unavailable teachers as well so yeah

A great learing experience- my college review

Course Curriculum Overview:

I didn’t get into medical college. The curriculum is not that good in my course. Practical should be more focused and research papers. Timing is just 2 hrs for core paper many students exam are left for writing in short duration

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

Placement Experience:

Placements in IGNOU are quite limited compared to regular universities. Since IGNOU is an open and distance learning university, it does not have a strong campus placement system like DU or private colleges. There is a Campus Placement Cell (CPC) that conducts job fairs and recruitment drives at some regional centers, but these are not very frequent and mostly depend on the location. Usually, students who are in their final year or have completed the course can apply, but there is no fixed semester rule since the system is flexible. The companies that visit are not very large in number and vary every year. Some private firms, NGOs, BPOs, insurance companies, and small IT firms have participated in the past. The roles are generally entry-level such as sales, customer support, data entry, insurance advisor, or junior IT support. There are very limited opportunities for core mathematics or research roles through placements. As far as packages are concerned, the average package is usually around ?2.5 LPA to ?4 LPA, but since IGNOU is an open university, it cannot be expected to have the same placement levels as regular colleges with full-time classes. Also, the percentage of students placed is very small because most IGNOU students are either working professionals, homemakers, or people preparing for competitive exams, so placements are not the main focus. Many students use the degree as a qualification while pursuing their own career path outside. I am currently in my 2nd year, so I do not have personal placement experience yet. The data I have mentioned here is based on internet sources and feedback from other IGNOU students. From what I have learned, placements exist but are very limited, and one should not rely only on them for career building.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason for the choice of course is ofcourse personal interest also, research work in chemistry is highly interesting and also has scope in fields like chemical engineering,forensic sciences etc. The teaching methods are really good and the books prescribed are available in the libraries. The timing of exams are according to the university and is into two halves.
