Should I go for B.Tech Industrial & Production Engineering in DTU or B.Tech Electrical Engineering in MNNIT Allahabad?

Without a doubt, choose DTU EE! I left NIT Allahabad for DTU Mechanical Engineering, and I’m in my third year now. I have zero regrets about this decision. Don’t wait—go for DTU EE!

Considering the financial aspect, MNNIT Allahabad for B.Tech in Electrical Engineering offers a strong ROI with solid placements and a high average package of around 12 lakhs, which is great for a government college. On the other hand, DTU’s B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering has a slightly higher highest package at around 1.8 crore, but the overall placement percentage seems to be affected by recent market trends. While DTU has better internship opportunities with companies like Microsoft and Google, the fees are on the higher side with limited scholarship options. If you want a more stable financial choice with decent placements and lower fees, MNNIT is the way to go. However, if you're aiming for the top-tier companies and can handle the investment, DTU might be worth it.

If you're passionate about industrial engineering and want a lively campus experience, go for DTU; if you're more inclined toward electrical engineering and prefer a traditional approach, MNNIT might suit you better.
