I am not much sure about NIT Trichy’s Arch department. However, I can guarantee that you won’t regret studying B.Arch in NIT Calicut. With Trichy, the cons are its location and weather. But with Calicut, the weather is very good. Second, Calicut's Arch department building is just wow! Plus, the faculty is good there. So you can opt based on your preference.

None. These are technical institutes, and architecture is an entirely different stream. None of the NITs are known in this field. If you seriously want to study architecture in a credible institute, consider options like SPA or CEPT.

NIT Trichy offers a solid curriculum with well-qualified faculty and a vibrant campus life filled with cultural events and activities, making it a great choice for those looking to immerse themselves in their studies while enjoying a well-rounded experience. In contrast, NIT Calicut also provides good faculty and opportunities, but some reviews suggest that internal politics may affect teaching quality over time. While both colleges have competitive admissions, NIT Trichy seems to have a more engaging campus atmosphere and slightly better placement support for architecture students. If you're someone who values a lively college environment and strong academic support, I'd personally lean towards NIT Trichy. However, if you prefer a more traditional setup and can navigate the nuances of college politics, NIT Calicut could still be a good fit.

NIT Trichy offers a more affordable B.Arch program with a total fee of around 2,65,000 INR, making it a better financial choice compared to NIT Calicut, where the fees are approximately 80,000 INR per semester. While both colleges provide scholarships for eligible students, NIT Trichy's supportive faculty and active placement cell allow for around 10-15 students to secure jobs, which enhances the ROI. In contrast, NIT Calicut has a strong reputation but faces challenges with faculty engagement due to administrative issues, potentially impacting the learning experience. If you prioritize cost-effectiveness and a supportive environment for architectural studies, NIT Trichy would be the smarter choice, while NIT Calicut is for those who may value prestige and are prepared for a potentially less interactive learning experience.
