Chandigarh University has proven that it stands at the top of university sports in India. Excellence, and it has no borders. It is reflected in this dominating performance of the institution at the Khelo India University Games, setting new records in athletic achievement.

The Numbers Tell the Story

Chandigarh University has won 67 total medals, far surpassing all other universities. Specifically, Chandigarh University has won 42 gold, 14 silver, and 11 bronze. It is a tremendous progress when compared to last year ( 32 gold medals). This shows the institution has encouraged stronger commitment in developing student athletes for excellence in sport, and creating an opportunity for greater student participation in sport.

Dominance across disciplines

The versatility of the university is unmatched. Canoeing and Kayaking started the onslaught with an incredible 23 golds, marking Chandigarh University as a powerhouse in aquatic sports. Adding to this were 6 golds contributed by Swimming and 5 by Athletics. Wrestling, Cycling, Weightlifting, Table Tennis, Shooting, Archery, and Kabaddi each contributed golds to show the depth and reach of the talent across the institution.
