KEA has not released the KCET 2026 exam centres list yet. The exam centres list is expected to be released along with the Official brochure on January 17, 2026. In 2025, KCET was conducted across 53 exam centres in 29 districts of Karnataka. No centres will be outside Karnataka.

Candidates who have passed/appeared in the 2nd PUC in Karnataka were allotted centres in the same district or nearby areas. Candidates giving the Kannada language test will have to appear for the KCET 2026 in a test centre located at Bengaluru, Belagavi, Bijapura, and Mangalore only.

In some cases, such as Chitradurga, centres were changed due to unavoidable reasons. During the Covid-19 pandemic, KEA added 75 new centres across Karnataka to reduce crowd density and maintain social distancing.

KCET 2026: Language Paper Centers

Kannada Language Test for Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will be

Conducted on 22nd April 2026.

  • The minimum passing marks for candidates shall be 12 out of 50 marks.
  • The Kannada Language Test paper will be of the 4th Standard Level.

Candidates giving the language test will have to appear for the KCET 2026 in a test centre located at Bengaluru, Belagavi, Bijapura, and Mangalore only.

However, Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates who have studied 10 full academic years in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka need not appear for the Kannada Language Test.

KCET 2026: Practical Test Centres

There will be a practical test for candidates to claim the Agriculturist Quota. This Quota is applicable only for Undergraduate courses. The Practical Examination will be conducted at the following centres by the concerned Agricultural / Veterinary Universities.

KCET 2026: Allowed and Prohibited Items

Candidates must adhere to the guidelines issued by KEA regarding the allowed and prohibited items in the examination centre.

KCET 2026: Exam Day Guidelines

The guidelines to be followed by the candidates on the exam day are given below:

  • Report to the examination centre at least 60 minutes before the scheduled time.
  • Carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid ID proof.
  • Entry will be strictly prohibited after the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
  • Electronic items such as mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, Bluetooth devices or any other digital gadgets are not allowed.
  • Carry only a black or blue ball-point pen.
  • Any form of unfair means, impersonation, or misconduct will lead to disqualification.

KCET 2026: Frequently Asked Questions

Ques. What happens if there is a centre change by KEA?

Ans. KEA rarely changes the centres, only when there are some major reasons like venue problems. In such cases, KEA will issue a separate notice on its official website.

Ques. Are the centres allotted for kannada language test the same as main exam?

Ans. No, the main exam centres are much more than the centres for kannada language test. The language test will be conducted in limited centres only.

Ques. How many exam centre preferences can I fill during the KCET application?

Ans. During the application process, candidates can select multiple exam centres according to their preferences. However, the final allotment depends on the availability.

Ques. If I am from outside Karnataka, where will be my exam centre be?

Ans. If you are from outside karnataka your exam centre will be in Karnataka only as KCET is a state level exam. Bangalore is the default exam centre for all out of state candidates.

Ques. Can I change my exam centre after the application is submitted?

Ans. Once the application is submitted, no centre change request is allowed except during the application correction window period.
