KCET Preparation Tips

KCET Preparation 2024

Candidates need to study the relevant topics properly and revise them. They need to work hard and wisely by preparing a schedule and allowing time to each subject according to the syllabus. There is no substitute for hard work, but we can still use some tips and tricks to get better results from what we have prepared.

Time Management

  • Time is a resource which once lost, can’t be retrieved.
  • Never waste your time going through unnecessary topics or topics that have the least weightage.
  • Preparation for the exam is your first priority. All other things come later.
  • You can still go watch a movie or listen to songs to unwind from time to time.
  • Make a time table for your studies and follow it consistently.

Be thorough with the basics

  • The candidates need to be thorough with their eleventh and twelfth NCERT textbooks.
  •  Students wishing to get good ranks in KCET have to go through these books and understand the basic theories and their applications by heart, there is no benefit to mugging up things.
  • Study the chapters from each textbook.
  • The questions based on those chapters will be given at the back of each chapter. Go through them and solve them.
  • Never go for the guides in the first phase itself. Try to solve them on your own first.
  • If it is not possible, discuss those questions with your friends. If you are still not able to get answers then you can go to your guides or teachers and solve them.
  • Understand how the problems are being solved and apply the same techniques to solve similar kinds of problems.

Download Previous KCET Sample Papers and Solve

  • It is one of the better ways to understand your position in exams.
  • Before writing the original exam you can go through several previous year question papers and understand the pattern of the questions they are asking.
  • Download the question paper and solve it like how you would do it in the examination hall.
  • Find out your scoring areas and weak areas.
  • Work on the weak areas and try to solve as many questions as possible.

Revise the portions which you have studied

  • Include time for revision in your “study time table”.
  • Study those portions again and again.
  • While you are revising, write down those portions which you have forgotten.
  • Otherwise while writing the exams you will go blank.

Improve your speed

  • Speed is very important in KCET 2024
  • Candidates need to finish each section- mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology – within a time duration of 70 minutes.
  • They have to find solutions for 60 marks worth of questions within this 70 minutes, which is a difficult task if you have not practiced well.
  • Candidates need proper practise in such situations.
  • Practise more problems.
  • Set a time limit.
  • Try to solve the problems within that time.

Be confident

When you start preparing for Karnataka CET 2024, you may feel that the exam is really difficult and you will not get good ranks in the exam.

  • Avoid negative thoughts.
  • Never lose hope.
  • If you work hard and prepare wisely for the exam, a good rank can be obtained.

Revision

Just like any other exam we should revise properly for Karnataka CET 2023 in order to get good scores.

  • Never mug up things.
  • Study while relating concepts to concrete things, draw graphs, diagrams, and try all those methods which help you to keep things in mind.
  • Revise regularly and understand the pros and cons of the revision at the end of every week. Sometimes you may be giving less time for revision. So make changes accordingly so as to improve your performance.
