IIT Kanpur will release the JEE Advanced 2025 application form in April, with separate application windows for Indian and foreign nationals. Registration for foreign candidates will begin first, followed shortly by the opening of applications for Indian nationals who qualify through JEE Main 2025. Eligible candidates—those among the top 2.5 lakh in JEE Main 2025—will be able to apply exclusively through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

The JEE Advanced 2025 application process involves authenticating with the JEE Main application number, entering required details, uploading scanned documents, paying the application fee online, and printing the registration confirmation. Notably, once submitted, the form cannot be edited or corrected. Candidates will also choose eight exam cities in order of preference, with the final exam center listed on the JEE Advanced 2025 admit card.

JEE Advanced registration process comprises application form filling, document uploading, and application fee payment. JEE Advanced registration fees is INR 1600 for female (all categories), SC, ST and PwD candidates. For all other applicants, JEE Advanced registration fee is INR 3200.

JEE Advanced 2025 exam is expected to be conducted in May 2025. Paper 1 is scheduled from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and Paper 2 is scheduled from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. For a complete guide on how to apply, fees, required documents, and other key details, refer to the sections below –

Eligibility Criteria

JEE Advanced 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for JEE Advanced 2025, you must fulfill the below-mentioned 5 eligibility criteria set by IIT Madras.

Age Limit

You must be born on or after October 1, 2000. SC, ST, and PwD candidates have a relaxation of five years, so they should be born on or after October 1, 1995.

Rank in JEE Main 2025 (applicable only to Indian Nationals)

You must be among the top 2,50,000 qualified candidates in JEE Main 2025 B.E/ B.Tech paper. The applicants will be shortlisted in the ratio of the seats reserved for each category. Foreign nationals/ OCI/ PIO applicants are not required to take JEE Main 2025 exam and can directly apply for JEE Advanced 2025.

Number of Attempts

You can attempt JEE Advanced maximum 3 times in 3 consecutive years.

Class 12 Examination

You should have appeared for class 12 examination the first time in 2023, 2024, or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects. Those who appeared before 2023 are ineligible, regardless of subjects taken.

Previous Admissions to IITs

You should not have been admitted to any IIT through JoSAA 2024. Applicants whose admission was later canceled by the IIT post joining are not eligible to register for JEE Advanced 2025.

Registration Fees

JEE Advanced registration fees vary depending on the category of the applicant and the location of the exam centers. You are required to make the payment on the online registration MOPS (Multi Option Payment System) portal. JEE Advanced registration fees once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Documents Required for Registration

Documents Required for JEE Advanced Registration

You are required to upload scanned copies of certain documents and certificates during JEE Advanced 2025 registration. It is important to upload the correct documents as the same will be verified during the IIT admission process. The list of documents required for JEE Advanced registration 2025 is provided here for your reference.

  • Class 10 certificate or birth certificate (if not mentioned in the class 10 certificate)
  • Class 12 certificate and marksheet
  • In case of name change, gazette notification proving the same needs to be uploaded
  • Category certificate (GEN-EWS certificate issued on or after April 1, 2025; OBC-NCL certificate issued on or after April 1, 2025; SC/ ST certificate as per the latest government guidelines, PwD certificate)
  • Compensatory Time Request Certificate addressed to the Zonal Coordinating IIT (for those with a disability in writing certificate)
  • DS Certificate for those seeking admission under the Defence Services (armed forces personnel) category.
  • Scribe Request Letter addressed to the Zonal Coordinating IIT (for those who need the services of a scribe)
  • Citizenship Certificate/Foreign Passport and/or OCI/PIO Card for foreign nationals, PIO, and OCI applicants
  • For those with Class 12 exam boards outside India, a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities needs to be uploaded. The certificate must state that the examination is equivalent to the class 12 examination.

All the documents have to be uploaded in PDF format and the file size should be between 50 kb and 300 kb.

JEE Advanced 2025 Login

JEE Advanced 2025 login for registration is through JEE Main application number and password. In case you forgot your password, you can recover the same by clicking on the ‘Forgot Password’ tab. The password for IIT JEE Advanced login can be reset by either the security question, or the link on email id, or verification code via SMS. JEE Advanced 2025 login link will be activated on jeeadv.ac.in from April 21, 2025. The same will be updated here for your reference.

JEE Advanced 2025 registration link will be available on jeeadv.ac.in for the eligible qualified candidates. The registration process for IIT JEE 2025 includes 5 prominent steps explained below:

  • Click on the JEE Advanced registration link, enter your JEE Main login credentials to start with the application process.
  • You will notice a few personal details already filled from your JEE Main 2025 application data.
  • You need to fill JEE Advanced application form for the pending details of PwD status, class 12 qualifying exam, previous attempt at JEE Advanced, communication address, and exam city preferences. Check list of JEE Advanced 2025 Test Centers
  • Upload scanned images of the documents applicable to your category
  • Pay the application fees using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ UPI/ Net Banking.

Application Form Correction Window

Unlike other major exams, there is no application form correction window for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced application form 2025 once submitted will not be editable. You have to be very careful while filling in your application as no corrections are allowed later. Ques. I appeared for my class 12 boards in 2022. Am I eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2025?

Ans. If you have appeared for the first time in class 12 boards or equivalent examination in 2023, you are not eligible for JEE Advanced 2025. However, if your board result was declared on or after September 21, 2023, you can apply for JEE Advanced 2025.

Ques. Is IIT JEE Advanced registration only for B.Tech?

Ans. Yes, JEE Advanced registration 2025 from April 21 to 30 is only for B.E/ B.Tech in IITs. For B.Arch admission in IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Varanasi, Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is conducted. The registration for AAT 2025 will be carried out separately on jeeadv.ac.in from June 9 to 10, 2025.
