Campus Life

As we all know College life is the most exciting stage of life . For me It was the most best moments, with my friends especially. As coming to the gender ratio, it was about 100-42 boys and girls.there is always a function in the campus but we does many parties with my friends and batch mates. In the last year we had gone to the Bokaro steel city to do a workshop in bsl plant. Which was quite good experience. The students were mostly from Delhi , Bihar , up ,and some are from Haryana Punjab and West Bengal.

College Events

When I joined the college then we have a fresher's party function. The function was in a very big Hall in which the seniors and we are invited by them. At last all the freshers have to say their names in some funny style. I have also participated in this.it was very funny moments in the college. Every year their was a annual celebration and at last we have farewell party. This was the one of the best days of my life.

Campus Life

you have opportunity and you will get the chance to do whatever you want to do. One thing i didnt like their was restrictions. Each and every students was against the restrictions they applied for the hostelers. like a non hosteler can not come to hostel nor in day nor in night. If you are in hostel.1 then you can not go to hostel 2 to study with your friend or to meet him. This is the point where i think change in required.

Exam Structure

amazing. they keep on changing the exam pattern as per the students feedback and experienced faculty. Which makes quite helpful for students to pass with good grades. when i joined and in the first year it was different exam pattern but in 3rd year it changed and in 4th year its again changed. So, they keep on taking the feedback from students and make the structure accordingly.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was almost the same for all branches till the third year and the only difference was jumbling of subjects across branches. While coming to the electives, we had no option in our college to select the elective of our choice and the college management decided the elective which we have to choose based on the availability of the faculty.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for a counselling student is as per the norms of the government and JNTU Hyderabad. but, whereas for a management student it would very costly. And as I was a counselling student , I ended up paying 28500 every year. Moreover, management used to lieu heavy fines for the students who' have low attendance.

I got 134 marks in MHCET and secured Admission through CAP. Its one of the best college in mumbai and has a wonderful campus n amazing crowd with best of the faculties . It has facilities such as amphitheatres , auditorium, athletic track , squash court , basketball n volleyball turf, badminton n Table tennis court n much more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees of Kjsce is quite high around 1.5 lakh a year. Though college offers a great deal its still very high though lot of schemes of scholarship are offered by college n government. It removes a lot of load but leaves quite a lot to deal with. For SC/ST/Nt its pretty low like around 15k per annum but for rest there is no relief.

Placement Experience

The college has almost 50% placement rate. The branches which get highest placements are Computer Science and Electronics and Communication .Some of the biggest MNC’s visit the institute for campus recruitment. In order to accomplish 'Industry-Institute Interaction' it organizes technical talks and national seminars to provide a platform for the budding engineers to interact with professionals from various industries. JIET Group of Institutions has created a record of sorts in the state and the region. Campus placement in JIET Group of Institutions for 2015 graduating batch started with Infosys DAY 1, visitors like IBM, IGATE, Mphasis, ICICI prudential, ACT TV, Indus Tower, Indian Army, Indian Air force, Meditab, Innoeye, Aquia, Josh Technology, Genpact , TAJ and many other offer jobs with an average salary package of INR 3.25 lacs p.a. Department of Training & Placement is still working on inviting companies on campus for the placement of 2015 graduated batch. Training & Placement cell has a vision of providing students with not only placements but to raise student’s employability, skill development and achieve 100% placements.

Internships Opportunities

The Training & Placement Cell at JIET Universe is the centralize body which is an intermediate between the corporate world and the JIET Universe by providing the budding students with guidance in their choice of career and an easy access to employers by providing ample opportunity for final as well as summer placements. Campus Life

Campus life is good and secure. But it is more like school rules. Students are not allowed to use mobile phones in campus and there are strict rules and fines if anyone is not following. Labs are fully equipped and are good. College focus on additional activities as well like inter college debate competitions, GD's etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is not updated and i think it is same from many years. Code is as per Punjab Technical University Curriculum and should be updated.Curriculum is same which is from last 10 years. Now DAV is deemed university and thus I am not sure if the curriculum is different that PTU curriculum.

Ques. Which has better placements, IIT (BHU) Electrical or IIT (BHU) Electronics??

● Top Answer By Vinima Bhola on 23 Jun 25

Ans. Electrical Engineering at IIT (BHU) has a well-documented and strong placement record, with high placement rates (81–86%) and top packages reaching up to ?1.68 crore per annum (in B.Tech overall, with Electrical also benefitting from high offers). The Max CTC for Electronics Engineering is ?50 LPA for 2024–2025, which is less than the highest mentioned for Electrical. However, placement details for Electronics Engineering are less commonly recorded. This might, however, represent a single offer or a particular position rather than the branch's highest or average overall. Both branches are highly sought after and have strong industry connections, but Electrical Engineering currently has more publicly available and impressive placement statistics.Read more

Ques. Can BITS Pilani be preferred over IIT BHU for mechanical or electronics engineering?

● Top Answer By Shreya Karmakar on 31 Jul 24

Ans. IIT BHU and BITS Pilani are two highly reputed institutes for engineering studies in India. IIT BHU would be a better option over BITS Pilani because of these reasons: Brand Value: IIT BHU carries the prestigious “IIT'' tag which holds more brand value than the “BITS Pilani'' tag. This will become important to you when applying to foreign universities for your higher education.  Fees: As a government institution, the fees of IIT BHU is much more affordable as compared to BITS Pilani. This in turn, gives IIT BHU a higher ROI (Return on Investment), as IIT BHU offers even better placements than BITS Pilani.    Here are the important comparisons between IIT BHU and BITS Pilani:   Particulars IIT BHU BITS PILANI   Establishment Year   1919   1926   NIRF Engineering Ranking    15   25   Tuition Fee   *INR 1 lakh per semester   INR 2.60 lakh per semester   Highest package (2023)   INR 1.68 CPA   INR 50 LPA (Electronics)   INR 91.19 LPA (Mechanical)   INR 60.75 LPA (Overall)   Average package (2023)   INR 31 LPA (PPO Average CTC)   INR 29.56 LPA (Electronics)   INR 21.95 LPA (Mechanical)   INR 30.37 LPA (Overall)   [ CTC Range:   INR 14-30 LPA (Electronics)   INR 9-18 LPA (Core) ]   Recruiters on Campus   Acc cement, Accenture, Accolite, Adani, Aditya Birla, Aditya Birla chemical, Adobe, etc.   BSCPL Infra, Grand View Research, McAfee, Greenko Group, McKinsey & Co, CA Technologies, Grey Orange, etc.  *(for SC/ST/PwD students, and others with family income <= 1 LPA, the tuition fee is 0. The tuition is exempted by 2/3rd for students with family income <=5 lakh and > 1 lakh). IIT BHU is much more cost-effective than BITS Pilani, and has better placements as well. It also delivers the much renowned ‘IITian’ tag to its students.   Because of all these reasons, I would recommend you choose IIT BHU over BITS Pilani for your Mechanical/Electronics Engineering. Read more
