If you aren’t particularly interested in CSE, it will be better to choose BITS Goa Electronics and Instrumentation. You will get excellent placement opportunities and exposure from BITS Goa. During 2021 placements, the highest CTC received by the institute was INR 43.3 LPA. Google, Cisco, CRED, Flipkart, etc. are some of the major recruits that frequent BITS Goa placements.
If you are planning on pursuing higher education abroad, you will get better exposure from BITS Goa. The BITS brand name is more recognized compared to Manipal.

Many of my friends are alumni of Manipal and BITS, so I can help you out with your question.
Based on the conversations I had with my friends, I will say that it’s not fair to compare Manipal and BITS. Given the choice, you should choose BITS.
After doing CS from any institute, you can expect a job in IT. But you can opt for the IT sector from any discipline from BITS. Here is why you should choose BITS.
- The peer group at BITS is better.
- The faculty at BITS is highly qualified.
- BITS is definitely more reputed. The tag does offer certain advantages.
