Faculty

There are minimum of two faculties and maximum 3 faculties for each department. As mentioned there are also lab facilities available in the college, so each department has one lab assistant each. In the department of Botany there are three teaching faculties who are very much capable and knowledgeful personalities. In the department of biochemistry there are two faculties who have their own unique ways of teaching, leaving no doubts in the mind of students. Organic, Inorganic and Physical chemistry are taught by three different faculties in the department of Chemistry who have their own way of approaching the topics and syllabus and clearing the doubts of students being very polite and understanding in nature. All the faculties of respective department being very knowledge full and highly qualified cannot be compared only in the basis of any particular field. Each faculty have their own unique ways of teaching and making students feel comfortable with the topics and subjects. As the college follows 1 + 1 + 1 rule, so there is one annual exam for a whole 1 year academic session which analyses the one year dedication and understanding of the students. However,in particular time gaps faculties themselves conducts class test and viva like sessions where the relevant topics taught within weeks are asked and the doubts are cleared when needed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of the college is different for different courses and subject combinations. As per my subject combinations I deposited ?17500 that included ?500 counselling fees and ?500 Computer Awareness Program fees. Fees do not varies with respect to caste but with what subject combination one have opted. There are no need of any other type of charges. The paid fee includes all the charges but students opting Biology (Botany & Zoology both), Chemistry and Biochemistry have to purchase some of the equipments & apparatus by there own for practicing in lab. Furthermore, talking about the scholarships, the students of Uttar Pradesh are given state govt. scholarship and the outer state students also gets different types of scholarship, either national or scholarship provided by the home state. The students of Northeast Region (NER) are given Ishan Uday Scholarship. The students of NER are provided 8K per month. Other scholarship amount varies with respected caste, state of domicile, annual income of family and other factors of the applicants.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees paid was around 15,000 for two semesters per year and it's 3 years duration course and it varies according to the department. Apart from fee there is a exam fees structure around 2000 where we should pay that compulsory to get the hall ticket. Also time will be given for paying the fees till deadline and after deadline there fine around 500 for each week time frame. Then there is rule where we have pass all the unit test as accordance with the semester wise calculation and if they fail any one of the following they have to pay the allotted fine as per the range of exams to get the semester exam hall ticket. But the teachers are so passionate and enthusiastic they really help us to equip our knowledge in the following field and also they provide various benefits like field trip and field learning. They have given so much of liberty for the students who are not able to afford for the college fees , they also helped certain students And overall the placement part is good according to the stream given.

Course Curriculum Overview

I love science so I willingly choose the course biochemistry but incase of scope i don't think it has so much potential as we have to complete extra course such as dmlt and ms c biochemistry futhere to attain a good salary prosecution and the placement given is not related to the curriculum and the given extra courses are not for free as we have to spend so much money the exams are usually conducted in the forenoon and sometimes it is in the morning with a duration of 1 hour

The relationship between faculty and students will be too good because they will interact in avery good way even if a student doesn't know anything while she was joining the faculty will approach them and make them learn something while going out of college. I like Sri Lakshmi mam she was our biochemistry teacher the way she teaches is too good and interesting. All microbiology and biochemistry faculties are all good. Faculty

In my batch there are 20 students and 4 teachers that teachers the subject. Teacher are very helpful and explain the concept in easier language as possible. Faculty members that I liked the most is shashibala mam , Mam is our class coordinator and help in every aspect either in timetable, examination pattern, or in understanding concept. The exam pattern is of semester type, in 1 semester there is 3 monthly exam (you can also say unit test ) and 1 semester exam 2 monthly exam is compulsory for students to get admit cards for semester exam . Syllabus is based on ugc pattern for all courses.

Campus Life

For freshers students the fest is organised as the welcome party by the university yearly. The Library contain the textbook of every course and each student can issue 3 books at a duration of 14 days . Multiple copies of same books are available so you can issue same textbook . The classroom are normal, some classes are done on smart board/projector for better understanding. No sports for students offered. In every semester college host program like nukkad natak photography competition rangoli competition.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course i choose is very reserch based topic there is very good faculty and the all the resources are available for the research. The curriculum are very similar to the govt jobs syllabus mostly in teaching jobs. Area of improvement is some of the teachers are slightly changed their teaching methods. There is yearly based exam you only one exam in year and more than sufficient time for preparation.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is not a such policy for increase in fees the fees is increased after the discussion with govt and as per UGC guildlines . My complete cost of my education including fees is 6000 per year. The scholarship you can avail from govt, you can apply for national scholarship as well as State scholarship.

Overall experience of the college was good, as I met some of the best person and now they are like family. People are very friendly and helpful. Infrastructure is very good and facilities are also very good. Extracurricular activities and sports day are celebrated, events such as Science Manthan, Concerts, Tech fest etc. Clubs are also there for students who are willing to participate in drama, singing, music bands, etc. NCC and NSS are also there. Big central library is there where so many books are kept along with Wifi facility inside library.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are less than other private colleges and it also gives Scholarship to EWS students every semester. Fees slightly gets higher when you move to next year. Complete cost of the graduation in Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry was approximately 5 lakhs including tution, message and hostel fees. Scholarships such as MYSY as it is available only in Gujarat because it is given by Gujarat government. Stipend are given to research scholars and PhDs and also to the top 3 students of the class in every semester if they apply for it.

The faculties are really talented and highly educated. They study students very well and helps them in studies. They makes the class a two way communication which creates the class more effective. Students alwyas been take care of by the teachers. There are separate mentor mentee groups in college which makes the teachers to focus on a group of students which results in the effective studies of students. Teachers always completed their portions of syllabus and conducted exams as well as given assignments. The practical classes also conducted very well and demonstrations are given by the teachers. Campus Life

My campus life is overall better with great infrastructure when compared to other non professional aided colleges in kerala. And the betterment of campus life will be based on friends. So that I am having my best time. My college conduct barely two or three events in a year. And it is a worst part. My college posses a big Library....And I think it is the second largest Library in my district.which posses almost all books and study meterials.and it is a technologically sdvanced library with online access for students to get study meterial. And all class rooms are smart rooms with high definition projectors and laptop. And students can also use mobile phones during class for study purpose if needed. Sports and extracurricular activities are in my college, but not much to be said. There wre more than 10 club are in my collage, Some of them are excellently active and some are completely dead

Course Curriculum Overview

Initially I thought the biochemistry graduation is more susceptible to get a job. But actually that was a misunderstanding. If the need is a job I also should have the post graduation. So I later decideed to also have post-graduation in our college. The major draw back of this course is textbook is not available for core subject in kerala university. And that is a worst condition. The university can improve the course by making textbooks of core subject available and the teachers of oru collages are better when compared with other non professional aided colleges.. As the university is kerala university the timing of exams are really unpredictable and the subject is difficult when compared to other non professional courses under kerala University. So if only need is graduation, students can opt other easy courses

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I love biology my combination was related to biologies like biotech, microbial and biochemistry. student ratio as a boy: the girl was like 20:40. girls were more in comparison to boys. Lecturer loves to teach they are never late. Every teacher has their own method of teaching .exam time was always hectic as a self-study and getting distracted easily but passing the exam was not easy only those who learn will pass

Campus Life

The annual fest was so lovely. I dont remember which month they the conducted annual fest or tech fest but it was yearly thrice to four times. It was really packed and everyone enjoyed it. The library has every subject that is taught in the college. sports program was also held
