There is always 100% placements in govt medical colleges right from getting into internship, state rural service and then opportunities knocks the door of going for service or into post graduation in any dept.

Course curriculum is Really tough...its really hard to complete this vast syllabus in a year that is anatomy of whole body, biochemistry whole reactions and physiology whole processes that is physiological in nature.

As this is a professional bachelor course which is first time introduced in govt colleges of Assam, so I think there is a wide range of scope in the furture for all the students from any economical background. This course was only prevalent in private colleges earlier but the introduction of such professional courses and that also in the medical field is a choice to make for all science students. There are a lot of areas that needs improvement but as this course started 2 yrs ago, it is still in the growing stage.

India contains the world's largest population. But of course the healthcare is not that much upgraded. Gauhati Medical College is one of the pioneers in establishing goid healthcare facilities in northeast India. It teaches and qualifies doctors with excellent capabilities. Every doctor is on their quest for serving the mankind.

After every posting there will be assessments which is usually taken bedside and classes in posting are also taken bedside so the exposure is quite good . Especially derma dept they explain the cases very nicely

Curriculum followed is very good and discipline is there. It is made keeping in mind tge overall development of the students. There is apt tine for theory and clinical aspects as well. Proper classroom amenities are also present. Teachers are very experienced.

Becoming a Doctor and to say proudly "Don't worry I will take care and see to your illness" dragged me to this course. Faculty: Student ratio is 1:2 Mixture of both good and bad boring teachers. We have a lot of exams in the college.It drains your soul out of you. We barely pass. After joining MBBS you stop dreaming of topping what we wish is to get the borderline marks somehow.

I always wanted to be a doctor so that I could cure people and help them to get rid of various diseases. The faculty: student ratio is approx 1:4 The faculty are highly qualified with MBBS, MD, MS, DM, March, and various other degrees done by them. The teaching process includes lectures in the classroom with the help of smart slides. Almost every month there are exams but there are internals every 3 months and finally the finals. Medical study is one of the toughest courses to pass as we need to know about a lot of different things all at once

I choose the course because my father wants me to see him as a doctor. The student's faculty ratio is 20:1. The faculty are highly qualified, they graduated with MBBS and then did post-graduation in their field. Our faculty takes our theory classes in the lecture hall and clinical classes in the hospital. The exams are conducted by srimanta sankardeva University of health sciences. They conduct 2-semester exams every year and 1 professional mbbs exam at the end of the season.

I choose the course because I want to be good doctor. My class has around 30 faculty and 156 students. All the faculty are well trained and doctors. They teach us on projector. The exams are conducted every 3 month by our college which is very difficult to pass.
