Admission

I got admitted to pursue MD in Radiodiagnosis in 2008. All india post graduate entrance examinations were conducted then, every year and according to the rank, central counseling used to be conducted. Nowadays, it has been replaced by Neet PG exams. The essence of the exam is the same. You can choose the course and College of your choice at your merit as per the availability of seat. Radiodiagnosis is a highly sought after course and hence I had opted for it at Silchar. If someone wants to study at a particular college or a particular location, they have to check for availability and choose a speciality. Example, all I diaphragm 1st rank holder can choose the college and subject of choice all over the country. The seat he/ she chose is booked and next rank holder will have the remaining choices, so on and so forth. 60 to 80 thousand qualified MBBS doctors sit for the exams for 5000 seats. With NEET, private colleges have also been included along with DNB courses, so number of seats is considerably higher, approx. 20 to 25 thousand. It is advisable to get a good rank and opt for government colleges as fees of private colleges is quite high.

Faculty

The faculty are experienced with conventional as well as advanced radiology. 4 professors, 8 associate and assistant professors are supported by registrars and JRs. 8 students are enrolled every year, so one has 16 doting seniors to learn with and learn from. Every week seminars are conducted. There is provision for attending workshops, conferences at local, state, national as well as international level with encouragement to participation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible, as this is government college, U will have to pay 10000 per annum both for PG and ug, there will be stipulated time period and you have to pay it through Andhra bank on form of DD to college, Transperency will be there No additional charges required, but we were asked extra amount of 10000 as college fund at time of joining.

College Events

College fests like college days, hostel day and sports days will be there. And college will have funding for it, fests will be one of the best things that medicos can have In their medical career. Here in kurnool, auditorium is bit small and old, as it is old college, they have sanctioned amount and may be, we may get new auditorium.
