Silchar Medical College M.D Radiodiagnosis: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Admission to the MD in Radiodiagnosis is based on the NEET PG exams, allowing candidates to choose their course and college depending on their rank and seat availability. The field is highly competitive, with around 60,000 to 80,000 MBBS graduates competing for approximately 5,000 seats previously, which has now increased to 20,000 to 25,000 seats, including private colleges and DNB courses. Securing a seat in a government college is advisable due to the high fees in private institutions.

The faculty comprises 4 professors and 8 associate and assistant professors, along with registrars and junior residents. Each year, 8 students are enrolled, learning alongside 16 senior peers. The curriculum includes weekly seminars, and students are encouraged to attend workshops and conferences at various levels. The annual fees range from 12,000 to 20,000. State-qualified students can receive a monthly stipend of 20,000 to 30,000, while All India-qualified students are eligible for stipends only after signing a five-year government service bond in Assam.

Graduates of the MD program in radiology have a wide range of placement opportunities in both the government and private sectors, typically with competitive salaries. Those who sign a state medical council bond receive a stipend but must work in Assam for five years after completing their course.
