Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is decent enough and provides a load of options to the students to chose from. The electives include courses like English, finance, communication skills, vedic mathematics, constitutional hierarchy etc.
The reason behind my selection of this particular branch is because of my personal interest in electronics. Growing up and having an easy access to a computer also led me to develop interest in various tech related fields especially the android development environment.
The curriculum is indeed very aligned to the interests of the students. What it lacks is proper execution as a few faculty members tend to ignore what is mentioned in the curriculum and teach something vastly different just because it tends to save time.
The ECE Batch is divided into two classes, namely A and B with a strength of 65 students each. This division allows for one on one interaction between the faculty and the students. A similar distribution is followed in the Computer Science Batch. The Electrical branch however contains only one class of around 80 students.
The mid term examination, as the name suggests, occurs in the middle of the semester. This is followed by continuous assignments and a couple of surprise tests whose frequency and number depends upon the respective course mentor. The end semester examination occurs at the end of the semester. This sufficient gap and an additional preparatory leave allows students to prepare well for the final examination of the semester.
