Ramanujan College Review

Likes

I really like the college faculty my maths sir is very helpful in teaching good and important stuff
The classrooms are big and overall the place is very nice as compared to other colleges as our buildings were newly constructed
Our main cricket ground is big and people play alot of sports there so its a very inclusive environment

Dislikes

I dont think i dislike anything as everything is pretty good here and i enjoy alot

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bcom hons is a great course for people who want to continue in commerce field like me. I am doing marketing courses side by side and i think this is very helpful as im able to learn alot and use that learning too in my real life. So it prepares us for future aspects as well

Infrastructure is I think good, when you will search it on Google or any browser the college itself looks very modern. Also it has everything a college needs with fully ac library to canteens, sports ground etc. Classrooms doesn't have ac, but fans.
Canteen is good, specially the chole bhature, tea, chips of different kinds, juices and soft drinks of different kinds are something that interests me. Also the food is hygienic, good in taste and well prepared instantly in front of you not earlier.
Sports facilities are good. There is a volleyball court which has a good height net. Also there's basketball court with perfect essentials. There's a gym too for working out or for those who want to compete in the near future in any kind of stages. .

Dislikes

The college doesn't provide with any hostel facilities, which in my opinion is a drawback as that's something very needed when you think about the students coming from different areas of the country. So that's what I dislike that we can't live inside
There's a slight issue of power cut too in the college because when there's power cut all the fans and lights just stop working and in the summer season that can be something no one would like to experience. Generally there's no power cut happening .
Canteen is a bit compact. Though there's construction going on for a new canteen, I guess till then it's very hard to get a place to sit to eat in the college. I rarely find any seat or empty chair to eat lunch during the lunch break which isn't good

Placement Experience:

From 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements I am not sure about the number of offers made but last year Deloitte visited the campus for recruitment. Highest package is around 11lpa plz check on Google. And average is around 5-6 lpa. Seniors told me around 30-40% of the batch gets placement. My plan is to do mba after college

Ramanujan college (Best for everyone)

Likes

Teachers, the surrounding clean environment and the college secur
The library is well equiped with all the necessary books
Washroom are clean and pure drinking water is available

Dislikes

No lifts around for the classes at top its a struggle

Placement Experience:

It provides best placement among the college of similar category. Big Companies multinational corporation and big 4 comes for placement with a very decent package almost 80% students get placed every year in this college and its the best u can get in this segment

RAMANUJAN COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI YOU SHOULD OPT OR NOT BEST COLLEGE OR WORST?

Likes

The campus is big and have big crowd you can meet various of people from different states and country
There are two big ground where you can play cricket and volleyball etc.
The canteen food is tasty and affordable especially I like there Samosa very much

Dislikes

The sports room does not have proper equipments to play like cricket the volleyball.are also deflated
The area of canteen where we sit and eat is very small when it is break time many students have no place to sit
The water cooler are not washed properly and always be dirty

Bachelor of commerce hons is good course to be studied in Ramanujan college. Teachers are good and they teaches very well but their minus point is this that they take a lot of leaves which becomes difficult for us.

Good budding College of Delhi University

Faculty - faculty of Ramanujan College is great
Infrastructure - infrastructure is great here at Ramanujan College
Management - management of the college is top notch

Dislikes

System - there's no proper system and procedures for internal matters
Placement - placement is average for almost all the courses
Society culture - new principal is not promoting society culture

Placement are average here no big company except KPMG comes in the campus for the placement 5th sem students and passouts are eligible to apply for the placement There is no record of percentage of students placed My plan is to clear CFA L3 and I'm giving CAT as well to secure a good MBA college

An underrated south campus colleges

Likes

The infrastructure of this college is very good as it is newly built. There are classes being built as well so we might get air conditioned class rooms in the next semester. It looks very promising
The crowd of courses like psychology and bcom hons is very good. I enjoyed talking and hanging out with them. They are all from good families and make coming to college a worth while experience. I am very happy with this
The teachers especially some of them are very supportive and fun in the classroom. They won't let u get bored and teach in a very fun way. Outside class support is also there but it's somewhat minimal because teachers r always busy

Dislikes

Did not like certain teachers who just come and take attendance and never teach. Students come from far far away and they get disappointed. They also don't know how to teach and it makes the class experience terrible. Wish there was better moderation
I did not like the canteen of this college. It is very underwhelming and the food is honestly bad. There is no non vegetarian either
I did not like society culture of this college. There are barely any good ones in this college

Placement Experience:

I have no clue about placements as I am a first year but i think they are very average and one should not depend on them. Better to just study very hard and do professional courses and get a masters from a great college. I am currently pursuing CFA and frm and i believe it'll help me be more employable.

The college provides variety of courses for students to pursue and and it helps the student to pursue their ambitions.
The faculty expertise and teaching methods are very good which helps us to understand everything easily.
The course curriculum to my personal and professional development is very good.

Dislikes

My engagement with campus life and the quality of social interaction is not that good
The effectiveness of the placement cell is okay and not that useful
The quality of infrastructure is not at all good and is very bad as the washroom the porta cabins are very bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the curriculum of the college in bcom hons is good this influenced me to choose this course as this well help me to enter in lines which I want to work in future. As there are many internships programs that are provided this helps us to prepare for the real world applications. There are some point for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods as some teachers do not pays attention on every students

Ramanujan college Experience.

Likes

Almost 50 50 girl to boy ratio which gives equal chance for both.
Best it department which gives updates regularly and complaint Heard easily.
Best supportive teachers and well qualified.

Dislikes

Typical delhi college crowd pure selfish.

I definitely have to say that after inducement of New education policy there is scope in almost every field as you have to study GE means a subject from other department ex- I am from commerce department but I can study biology or any other course, which gives me options to do pg in other course as well..

Amazing favts about Ramanujan College.

Likes

I like the training and career development session organished by my college.
The helping and motivating behaviours for senior is a super blessings
Another thing i like about college is their lush green campus

Dislikes

One and only thing is hectic and compulsory to attend sessions.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my colleges are quite good. Every good company visit our college for placements. When the students come in third year is eligible to sit for the placements. Almost companies of every sector visit our college either it be consulting, finance, Operations, IT,Marketing or sales. Almost 70 percentages of people attain placements every year.
