What Students Say
Likes
- The infrastructure of this college is very good as it is newly built. There are classes being built as well so we might get air conditioned class rooms in the next semester. It looks very promising
- The crowd of courses like psychology and bcom hons is very good. I enjoyed talking and hanging out with them. They are all from good families and make coming to college a worth while experience. I am very happy with this
- The teachers especially some of them are very supportive and fun in the classroom. They won't let u get bored and teach in a very fun way. Outside class support is also there but it's somewhat minimal because teachers r always busy
Dislikes
- Did not like certain teachers who just come and take attendance and never teach. Students come from far far away and they get disappointed. They also don't know how to teach and it makes the class experience terrible. Wish there was better moderation
- I did not like the canteen of this college. It is very underwhelming and the food is honestly bad. There is no non vegetarian either
- I did not like society culture of this college. There are barely any good ones in this college
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is intensive for bcom hons and to do well u will have to study regularly. I believe it is very well made along with the inclusion of general electives and skill enhancement courses. This way we can learn a lot of stuff
Internships Opportunities
We get regular internship opportunities ranging for 10 thousand to 15 thousand but you also have to understand that it's all about the person. If u have great skills then only you will get the intership. Get working on your sales, technical and person skills to get internships
Placement Experience
I have no clue about placements as I am a first year but i think they are very average and one should not depend on them. Better to just study very hard and do professional courses and get a masters from a great college. I am currently pursuing CFA and frm and i believe it'll help me be more employable.
Fees and Financial Aid
We paid a total of 22500 fees at the beginning. We then got a message that we have to pay 850 more as the fees suddenly increased. The fees is more for bms course. The registration fees was just cuet exam fees. That was around 2k. Everyone has the same fees across all categories except ews. There are barely any scholarships. Kashmiri migrant Students do get benefits as well as people who top their class.
Campus Life
The overall experience is how you make it. The college is somewhat small. There are 3 canteens and it is all mediocre. It will be a not so good experience if u don't make good friends. The facilities are great tbh. There is a college gym which is kind of outdated but it works. Weightlifting is very encouraged in this college. Other sports are not very prominent except cricket. There are multiple clubs which students can take part in to get more friends. It's good
Admission
I know a lot of people from other south campus colleges and what i have learnt is that most of them are same. They are all average. What matters most of the infrastructure and the location. The location is excellent with it being in kalkaji. It makes going to college a good experience. U need to clear cuet for this college. For bcom hons course you need around 690 marks to get in. I didn't get a rejection from anywhere else I applied. Du has low fees and great ROI hence my reason of joining
Faculty
The faculty of this college are very old and experienced. All of them teaching in this college from 8-9 years. We also have new transfer teachers from srcc and hindu this year who have been nothing short of excellent. This college is going in the right direction
