I like the things about my college that is we have freedom to work on any interest of area.The facilities make sure that students should be ready to crash industry at any time,they prepare us like that.

Dislikes

Things I hate about my college that is we have to spend alot money on our stationeries and sourcing materials.

Placement Experience:

NIFT gave 99%gurantee for campus placements.if there 1% chance if u don't make it in a campus placements still there is nothing to worry about our faculties have n numbers of connections in industry so they also help students to get a good placement they deserv.

NIFT SHILLONG IS THE BEST

Likes

At a very nice place, the weather, the mountains, the area.
The faculty is so much educated and experienced, their teaching methods is good.
The infrastructure is so beautiful 😍 and their is a social interaction with others.

Dislikes

I dislike that sometime the college is very far
There is a language barrier sometimes with people.

Placement Experience:

From 8th semester the students are eligible for the placement and internship is for atleast 4 months before final exams. The companies which come our MANISH MALHOTRA, FLIPKART,AMAZON, WIPRO. 85% of the students gets placement. My plans after degree are to get a job and experience and later have my own business.

A Fashionable Dream

Likes

The faculties are very nice and curriculum are fun and learning at the same time you will enjoy each and every day
The campus life is so good the environment the seniors every one are friendly
The is no ragging in the campus people are very nice and polite to each other every day is a fun day here

Dislikes

The campus is very far away from the main city you really need to struggle to reach there
There are very less shops nearby the campus

Semester 8 students are eligible for the campus placements. Companies like Reliance, Raymond, Tata Aditya Birla and groups, H&M and many more do visits for the campus placement. Highest package was 18 LPA 89% of the students gets placement every year

Placement Experience:

Best placements in the fashion industry are there in NIFT. All most 90% of students get placed from campus, over 300 companies come for placements. The lowest package is 5 lakhs and average id 6-7 lakhs and highest has more than 20 lakhs.

Admission:

Admission in NIFT for any campus is based an entrance test. It depends on if it is a bachelors or masters course. I had to give entrance exam of CAT and GAT followed by a situation test for my course of accessory design.

The Story of my College Life

Remarks:

The college has really fascinating and cheerful environment all around the year. The most interesting thing is that we have various Fashion Shows, Exhibitions where we sell what we have made during our practical exams, nice and well-maintained hostels and so many things.

Admission:

I filled out an application form to register and apply for the course on the website of the institute. I got my admission on the basis of the score obtained in my NIFT Entrance Exam, after which I was called in for an interview.

Best memories of my life with Fashion design

Admission:

I gave NIFT, entrance exam and I ranked on no. 4th in the exam. I opted for this particular Institute because I want to do something different, more inspiring, and creative from others. Engineering was a great path everyone tells you to take and my family was made of engineers. NIFT offered me creative courses and it further gives you an opportunity to improved personality.
