NIFT Shillong Admission 2026
NIFT Shillong offers admission based on the NIFTEE score. NIFTEE is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) that comprises a General Ability Test (GAT) for all the UG and PG Programs, and also an additional Creative Ability Test (CAT) for B.Des. Candidates shortlisted based on the entrance exam then have to appear for the Situation Test or Personal Interview, if applicable.

NIFT Shillong Campus
NIFT Shillong campus spans 20 acres. The campus is a part of the new Shillong township that comprises prestigious institutes such as IIM, IHM, NEIGRIHMS, and honorable social bodies such as the United Nations resource centre, Shillong International Centre for Performing Arts, English & Foreign Languages University, and many more. Students are provided with a library (Resource Center). The Resource Centre has a Total Book collection of 6500. It also has access to 209 e-books, 10 online databases & 80 Forecasts, a canteen, a sports zone, a medical doctor, Internet access, and transportation facilities.
The NIFT Shillong provides hostel facilities both Inside and outside the campus. Two hostels are on campus, one for PG Girls students with a capacity of 17 and the other for Boys on a triple-sharing basis. One Girl’s hostel is outside the campus, which has a capacity of 108 UG students. Hostel accommodation is provided as per availability, on ‘First Come First Serve Basis’, and the students are allowed to join the hostel only after payment of full hostel fees. Candidates seeking NIFT Shillong Admission have to first apply for the NIFT Entrance Exam on the official admission website of NTA @exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. Once the CMR (Common Merit Rank) is announced, seat allocation for admission to B.Des and MFM programs at NIFT Shillong will be done through the centralised NIFT Counselling conducted for all the NIFT campuses across India. Candidates must register for NIFT Counselling on the official website of NIFT Admissions @nift.ac.in/admission.
