JGEC college review

Likes

Bonding between senior and junior and batchmates.
sports club especially football club I like most.
JECLAT the annual fest I like it very much because of events.

Placement Experience:

Generally students can apply for oncampus internship from 5th semester. From 7th semester student can apply for college campus drive. Average packege is 8.5 LPA and highest package is 62 LPA .Almost 95% of students get placed every year.

BEST COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

In seventh semester you will get placement in campus the companies visited are coco cola Larsen and toubro TCS Wipro adani power, TATA Power etc.and the average package is 6 LPA and highest package is 32 LPA 90 to 95 percentage students are placed every year

One of the best engineering college in West Bengal

Likes

The ambience of the campus of this college is very nice.
The faculty members are very helpful to students
The placement Statics are getting better over years

Dislikes

The construction of hostels should be better
The lack of faculties, and lack of communication skills are the factors behind the diminishing of our college.
Infrastructure is one of the things that should be looked over

Placement Experience:

Since past years,the placement is getting better and it's excellent. The best thing is that most of the students have been placed and good to say 100 percent students have been placed in offcampus and oncampus .

"My JGEC things"

Likes

The mainly liked the ecofriendly green campus . which gives us a good nature exposure
I liked the college faculties who are very supportive
I liked the fests that are organized in our campus

Dislikes

I disliked the less no. of hostel staffs
The sports facilities in our college must be improved immediately
The outskirt location of our college is quiet inconvenient

Placement Experience:

After 6th sem a student can easily be eligible to appear for the college placements companies visited - TCS , wipro , infosys, media.net and etc highest package offered till date is 74 lpa and the avg package offered is around 9 lpa my plans is work in a FAANG company after getting the degree

A detailed review of my college(JGEC)

Likes

Very friendly and interactive environment.Helpful seniors as well as batchmates.Good realtion among seniors and juniors.
Good opportunities for internships and placement.
Being an autonomous college,the choice of syllabus is good,only focuses on necessary topics.

Dislikes

Hostel buildings are very old structured and not properly maintained. Work should be done upon mess food.
Lack of resources in workshops and laboratories.
Being not so close to a large city, there is not proper participation in fests. although scenario has changed in recent years to some extent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mostly follows MAKAUT syllabus. Only the important topics are focused on, which is helpful for students and helps them to develop a skill side by side. Teachers and staff are helpful and Frank as well as supportive.

Natural beauty of the college makes college students study well inside the college premises
Soothing atmosphere makes friendship more strong
The internship opportunities are quite well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because currently it is in high demand in the market and it also provides more research opportunities and I am very enthusiatic to know about computer science fields and want to excel more opportunities.The faculty : student ratio is 1 : 5.All are PHd holders and they are really helpful and even in every month they conduct various seminars on different fields.We get approx 6 months between semester exams.

the college offers basic requirements around the campus for example hospital which is around 500 m from the college and very beautiful view of Mt Kanchenjunga from the campus.

Dislikes

nothing to be disliked about the campus life but we all know the bathrooms of college are not that good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

mechanical engineering was my first priority and i had deep interest in mechanical for its large scope in different fields of mechanical that is why i chose the course. faculty to student ratio is 1:2. faculties are well qualified from different IITs and NITs, Jadavpur uni,ISRO etc. thier teaching method is very good ,elaborative and easy. there are two semester in each year and two internals for each sem, it is quite easy to pass bcz of the college is autonomous.

All About Jalpaiguri Government Engineering college

Likes

Teacher do not create any pressure on students .
The campus is vey beautiful and calm which is liked by me.
The JYOTI club where the students teach all the poor students.

Dislikes

Canteen of the campus must be more better.
Any student can easily get proxy in the classroom.
Cleaning staff of the college are not sufficient.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have keen interest in computer since my childhood,so I decided to take admission in Computer Sceince And Engineering department. Faculty and student ratio must be improved in college. All the faculty members are well educated and their teavhing method are well enough. There are two internal exams and one semester exam in a semester and it is not so tough to pass if u attend classes regularly.

there are so many clubs activities so in my leasure time i follow this.
the senior junior relation is awesome here .
faculty is awesome here you will love it.

Dislikes

labs are not well furnished you will get struggle.
maintainance is pretty much required here.
some how i manage to balace my academic but i can barely do that.

Placement Experience:

after all the fun you have to get a job ,here you can get job easily.seniors are so helpfull here you can get referral easily.here the highest package is 64 lacks and average is 3lakh per anum. last year 90% of the students got placed in different companies like wipro tata power tata steel etc. my plan to join civil service.

College in my eyes

Likes

The campus is quite good for students and so breathable atmosphere
Our teachers are good and they teach us very good
Our seniors and batchmates helps a lot and they are sooo helpful

Course Curriculum Overview:

So I choose this course because I've a basic interest in the computing system and CSE these days is a good career option I think .I don't know the exact faculty student ratio but our teachers are supportive and they take care of our studies so much.They all are so scholars and they have so knowledge and I'm just a first year student. So my term exam is going to start in a few days and it's too difficult to pass if you don't study anything ????
