University Institute of Technology (UIT RGPV) was established in 1986 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. as Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhopal. The college is affiliated to RGPV.
- A candidate seeking admission to B.E, must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics & Mathematics as main subjects along with either Chemistry, Biotechnology or Biology as the third subject with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
- Students have to qualify JEE Main in order to secure admission in B.Tech program.
- A B.E/B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline is required for the M.Tech program.
- Admission in ME course is done on the basis of valid GATE Score. If the GATE qualified candidates are not available then the admission is on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
- Any Bachelor’s degree with 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.
- The counselling for admission is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of MP through online off campus procedure.

UIT RGPV, Bhopal Application Process 2024
Candidates can fill the application Form by following the given steps:
- Fill the application form available on the official website of the UIT RGPV
- Upload the scanned photographs and signature.
- Pay the desired amount of application fee online.
- Save and download the duly filled application form for future admission proceedings.
Documents required to be verified at the time of admission:
- Qualification and other personal details
- Payment details
- Photograph scanned with name and date mentioned below (image should be in JPEG format with the size between 4 KB to 40 KB and the image should be colored with clear background with 3.5 x 4.5 cm dimension).
- Scanned signature of the candidate on a white page within the 3.5 x 1.5 cm box size. The image should be in JPEG format with the size between 1 KB to 30 KB.
- Character Certificate and Migration Certificate (if applicable)
- Income Certificate and Category Certificate (if applicable)
- School Leaving Certificate and Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
UIT RGPV, Bhopal Reservation Criteria 2023
- The Institute follows the reservation policy of the Technical Education & Skill Development Department, Government of MP. As per the present policy, 90% seats are available for candidates having domicile of MP and 5% seats are reserved for All India and NRI candidates.
- UNDER the category of MP Domicile, 20, 16 and 14% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to ST, SC and OBC (excluding creamy layer) respectively.
- 3% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Physically Handicapped class.
- Apart from this 5% supernumerary seats are available under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme of AICTE. Further one seat each is reserved for J&K Migrants and J&K Resident category.
UIT RGPV, Bhopal Scholarship: It is administered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Government of India. Scholarship holders are directly nominated by ICCR to the Institute. These students must also satisfy the eligibility criteria for admission under foreign nationals.
