What is the procedure to get transcripts from RGPV university?
You can apply for your transcripts online, by visiting the official website of the institute. They will deliver to your given address and you won’t have to pay any additional charges. Here are the details of RGPV transcript online process.
- You need to have your enrollment ID. It is written on any of your marksheet. You also need an active RGPV student account. Go to the RGPV student portal and check if it’s active or not. If it’s inactive, get it activated. You may need to pay some fees to activate your account.
- Once your account is active, visit the student portal. Go to the ‘Student Services’ option. On the left side, you will see various options. Navigate to ‘Apply transcript’ and click on it.
- Click on ‘Show my online transcript from’.
- Read the given instructions carefully and fill in the correct details and verify. Check the address. They will send the transcripts given on the form.
- Select the delivery mode as ‘Post’, if you want the transcripts to be sent to your given address. Select delivery mode as self, if you want to collect it from RGPV office.
- Make the required payment. They usually charge 500 for 10 copies and 1000 for 20 copies of transcripts.
- Note down the transaction ID. You may need it if the payment is rejected.
In the form, you don’t need to fill in details of your semester and other information. It will be fatched directly from your student portal. This is why it's important to log in with your own ID.

LNCT definitely has a better placement record than UIT RGPV Bhopal. The companies participating in LNCT's placement program are offering better salary packages to the selected students than in UIT RGPV. How can you convert your CGPA into marks in RGPV University?
RGPV University uses SGPA and CGPA to evaluate students. The SGPA and CGPA are calculated by the following formulas.
SGPA = \(\sum_{i=1}^{n} C_i P_i / \sum_{i=1}^{n} C_i\)
\(C_i\) is the total credits offered in the ith subject of a particular semester for which SGPA is to be calculated. While \(P_i\) is the corresponding grade points earned in the ith subject. Where, i = 1, 2, 3, …, n are the number of subjects in that semester.
And, CGPA = \(\sum_{i=1}^{m} SG_j NC_j / \sum_{i=1}^{m} NC_j\)
Where, \(NC_j\) is the total number of credits offered in the jth semester. \(SG_j\) is the SGPA earned in the jth semester. Where, j = 1, 2, 3, …, n are the number of semesters in that program.
You will get the instructions to convert your CGPA to marks at the back of your semester mark sheets provided by RGPV. As per the university rules, you can get your marks by multiplying your CGPA by 100. You can similarly get your percentage by multiplying 10 to your CGPA.

IET DAVV has completed 14 years. There is a total intake of 90 students in each department. It is approved by AICTE and UGC. They have an excellent placement record in the past 7 years.

IET DAVV is a much better institution than UIT RGPV, according to placement records, salary packages and facilities offered. Their placement performance is consistent every year. But ultimately it depends on the students and their preferences of location, affordability, accessibility and environment.
Which is better UIT RGPV or IET DAVV?
Both UIT RGPV and IET DAVV are very good colleges and are much popular among the students and in the industry, but IET DAVV is preferred in terms of campus infrastructure, placements, and co-curricular activities.
Here are some of the advantages of IET DAVV.
- A lot of social welfare clubs, technician groups, startups, and many other clubs are available. You can join any of them according to your interests, as it might open many avenues.
- The faculty at IET DAVV are highly experienced and are lenient.
- Not much of a fuss is created with attendance, so you will not be forced to attend all the classes.
- The college is situated in the middle of the city. Transportation, availability of basic necessities are nearby and coaching classes are there.
IET DAVV will be a much better college as it offers very good faculty and facilities to its students and you should definitely consider this college as one of your options.
What should be the preference among UIT RGPV, SATI Vidisha and INCT?
UIT RGPV and LNCT both are better than SATI Vidisha. Following are the reasons why:
- Being a government institute, there is no pressure on attendance, assignments, and projects in UIT RGPV. Many reputed companies visit for campus placements. As per the recent highlights the average CTC offered was 4 LPA. If you want to pursue higher studies or want to get into PSUs through GATE, then choose UIT RGPV.
- LNCT is a private institute and it is very strict regarding attendance, assignments, etc. Many students complain that rules and regulations at LNCT are a bit like school.
- Placement in LNCT is best in the Bhopal region. In the last placement drive, the highest CTC offered at LNCT was 27 LPA. More than 400 companies visited the campus in the first year of the placement drive. There were many IT companies among the recruiters. If you are interested in joining the IT sector, go for LNCT.
I have a few friends from SATI Vidisha and they advise against joining the institute.
How do I get admission in UIT RGPV bhopal?
From 2013 onwards, UIT RGPV and other state engineering colleges of MP are offering admission based on JEE Main ranking. The procedure includes filling up the online counseling form with the scores of JEE Main and fill up the list of preferences of the colleges.
If you wish to avail of the state quota, then you need to get a state domicile. Otherwise, you will be allotted an All India quota. Multiple rounds of counseling will be held, if you are not satisfied with the first round, you can go for further rounds.
