The VJTI is affiliated with the Mumbai University. It awards degrees and diplomas under the name of Mumbai University only.It acts as the Central Technical Institute of Maharashtra. It is AICTE recognised institution. Ranking It is ranked as one of the 20 best engineering colleges of India by the India Today magazine.
Everything except faculty and placements are fime here. After acquiring autonomy VJTI slipped from AIR NIRF rank 28 to now at 103. There is lots of internet politics among Professors. Administration do not support professors.
Our college is best for the placements. That's the big positive thing about college. Other thing is thar there isn't ragging practice at all. The faculties too are friendly. Our difficulties are listening and it is tried to solve them. Atmosphere of college Is also good. There also held seminars and workshops of great people. There are not major negativities. The hostel infrastructure is not well. There is not encouragement in other fields like sports. Students have to participate on their own. Similarly there is also little resistance for any cultural activitie plannings by students.
The students are very more active than the college administration. The college is not concerned about the condition of the college building and the hostels in which the students are living. The college life is anyhow good as the students make there own way to enjoy in college irrespective of the facilii given.
Positive : Best Placements (100%), Brand name, Best Alumini Network, Best Canteen, Best Area, Zero Ragging. Negative : Poor Infrastructure, Small Campus, Lack of permanent faculty, Lack of technical facilities.
The college is awesome just because their is very good crowd at the college every senior is a lot for help when you need it. They guide in every matters be it academics or social.
VJTI is one of the oldest college in India. In the past it was extremely good. But in recent years it's name and value has decreased a bit. The main reason is lack of infrastructure and poor faculty. Most of the professors teach for the sake of teaching. Our branch mostly has profs on contract basis or assigns courses to M.Tech students. There is lack of innovation and ideas in them. Hardware and software facilities in VJTI are old and slow.
Since it is non government autonomous it comes in top lists of colleges in india but all institute have some negative things also. at now when I am currently studying here the college structure is not so good also the hostel of boys are just in running condition but these are being modifying now and may be all these will finish in some months.
Textile Technology students got 100% placements this year excluding the students who went abroad for studying MS. Trust me, Textile field is really good for job opportunities. The lowest package was somewhere around 3.5 lpa and the highest package was 15 lpa. Companies like Reliance, Well-known polyester, Raymond came to offer jobs to graduates
My college is all about its name it doesn't have a good faculty it doesn't have good infrastructure also the paper pattern is not that great you have to study on your own which you had for many students but if you are good in self study as I have set before it will be easier for you compared to other students if you are thinking about getting admission for MCA in our college I suggest to to check other colleges before you choose visitor
