The sibsagar college

Likes

I liked the environment. The college is at the backside of huge joysagar tank. The surrounding environment is surreal.
The other thing I love is the departments how neatly they are arranged and the garden in front known as brindavan is very famous.

Dislikes

The toilets . The toilets are lacking. From the science building we have to walk a certain distance to toilet
The canteen is little bit expensive and space is small

The experienced teachers and advanced laboratory work influenced me to take the course. The exams are within 6 months for a semester. Within the semester 2 sessional exams are taken with a gap of 1-2 months

I liked my college campus because the college campus is so beautiful and greenary. I just love it
There is a large library with a museum. They collect some historical things in there .

Dislikes

Things which I didn't like most is system of teaching. It could be improve with time as we don't have the digital facilities

The faculty of chemistry department is very good
Affordable for every student fee waiver is also available

Because I liked chemistry at 12 so I choose to purse this subject to graduate nothing much calculated.but if others are willing to choose chemistry for their graduation they can pursue as it has various scope in oils ,chemists etc

Our teaching staff is good. They are very disciplined.
Our college is situated in a very good place. It is situated on the bank of Historic Joysagar Tank.

Dislikes

Our college gate anytime close. You get in but not out before 2 pm without Principal's notice
Science boy's toilet is not okay, it is very dirty in rainy season. I wish it will be ok within few months

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like the field where all things are experienced or practical. Physics is a subject which is a type of this. Yes, physics is a practical subject. Our practical lab is not enough good. I think it should improve. In Six months of the semester, 3 months of class, and the other 3 months going with a college program, holidays, and weekends. In six months 2 sessional and one final exam were held.

Sibsagar College and Now Sibsagar University a brief Description.

Likes

The college faculty is amazing, and professors of English department are so dedicated and kind and also knowledgeable.
College campus is very beautiful with a lake and tample within the campus also it is one of the biggest campus in upper Assam.

Dislikes

Drinking water is a huge problem in this college you have to buy every drop of water.
Another problem is college gate is remaind closed until 2 P.M like schools.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took English literature because of my interest in Shakespeare. The course in our college fullfills my expectations it covers the literature from the Anglo-Saxon period to the Post modern period it also builds a strong base for the masters because the syllabus is made by Pankaj sir and he is a literally genius in this field but I think he should decrease the level of difficulty a little bit because for the academically poor kids it is though to pass the exam, but exam times are on point they give us sufficient time to prepare for our finals.

An Introverts College Journey

Likes

The teachers were very friendly..The way they treat every student gives the confidence to do well in academics.
All the faculty members are highly qualified so we find to very easy to learn from them

Dislikes

The practical lab is too old..I think they should modernize with time
They should increase the faculty members as well...many posts were not fully filled

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I said earlier the faculty is extremely good. The way they prepare us for exams and real life is unbelievable. I am grateful for all the things I have learned during my graduation journey. The sessional exams are for 1 hour and the semester exams are for 3 hours. Sessional exams are of 20 marks and semister exams are of 80 marks.

Sibsagar College, Joysagar, a premier seat of higher education in this part of the state , is situated at joysagar beside the historic tank which stands testimony to hallowed memory of Sati Joymati, the ahom queen of seventeenth century
Over the years it has cherished a proud tradition possessing resourceful and accomplished faculty members and an impressive record of academic output

Dislikes

Overall all the campus and our teachers and staff members are very conscious about our future. But there are many events that organised in our college disturbed the classes.
The holidays are also too much in our classes. We get only 3 or 4 months to complete our courses which are insufficient for our courses

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of our college is very sufficient to us. Our classes are started from 9 am to 3-4 pm which is very relevant. Our college has newly started the NEP 2020 education system which helps us to learn multiple activities at a time. I'm a student of English depertment , I choose this depertment because of the importance of learning english in today's circumstances and also to increase my knowledge about literature. After all our college curriculum is very helpful and relevant for students now a days. The timinng of exam is also perfect and the internel assessment or the marking system is also satisfied.

A Historic Glorious College

Course Curriculum Overview:

BA English has 6 semesters and its based under Dibrugarh University. BA English is one of the best honours to do if someone is really interested in English Literature and Sibsagar College has the best faculty members. There are four professors and each teaches a specific subject. The teaching of the professors was very good. They make you understand the novel very well. Term exams are held at 3 months and a final exam at 6 months at end of the semester. The exams are relatively easy if the concepts are cleared. The question consists of 15 marks long questions and 5 marks short questions.

Remarks:

The location. It has an epic scenery. U never get bored even if ur outside of the college. There is a lake just on its outskirts which are beleived to be made by the mighty Ahoms who ruled Assam for 600 years. Then there is the Joydol(a temple dated back to the Ahom dynasty).These sceneries tempted me to take admission in this particular college.
