Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time BE Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

The candidate shall have passed the second year Pre University or XII Standard or Equivalent examinations held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects:- Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, Electronics and has secured not less than forty-five (45%) percent of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages for admission to Engineering and Technology Courses.

Provided further that the minimum marks for eligibility shall be forty percent (40%) of aggregate in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes specified in the relevant Government order for reservation in respect of Engineering and Technology courses.

3-year Diploma with a minimum of 50 percent marks in the final examination for Lateral Entry.
Any other equivalent examination approved by the VTU
Admission to the Institute will be made according to the directives of the AICTE and Karnataka Government as applicable to each academic year.
Admission to the B.E. Programmes will be through CET and COMED-K only. Management quota seats are also available.

Likes

The college campus is very nice, and the faculties are very friendly and expertise.Apart from studies we have other cultural and sports events too to expose our talents.
We are provided with well lab systems and required equipments.

Fees and Financial Aid:

We paid 95 thousand as course fee and 14 thousand as college fee. Apart from that , hostel fee is around 98 thousand. State Portal Scholarship is available for all students including general merit students . We will get around 20 thousand from State Portal Scholarship.

Likes

This college environment is very good and conducive to learning.
The faculty members were knowledgeable and supportive, and there were many opportunities for extracirricular activities like(sports,cultural,etc).

Dislikes

The college infrastructure is not so good and campus size is also small.
There are two campus NIE(south and north) from last two year cs department classes are held in north campus .The north campus is 15km away from main campus (south) so transportation is difficult.

The fee structure for student who came under KCET examination is (1l to 1.2l )per yearand for COMEDk students (2.5l to 2.7l )per year.For management students they should pay 14 l donation fees plus every year COMEDK fees. The college provides various scholarship to apply like(ssp,nsp,etc).

My college life

Likes

I like the placement of my college. It is decent
Campus life is not so good but i can say it is ok ok

Dislikes

Sometimes teacher's prefer kannada language in between english.
Campus life is not good.Hostel to college distance is 13-14 km.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Comedk and kcet are the two entrance exam which you need to clear with good rank to pursue this college. Every year fees is increase by 7percent. For my batch complete cost for student came through comedk is 16lakh including hostel, bus, college fee. For kcet student total 4 year fees is nearly 8lakh. There is no such scholarship for comedk student but for kcet student belonging to lower backward class there are some scholarship.

I applied to this college through Comed-k exam. My fee comes to around 2.5L per year. This is a 4 year course. Many scholarships are available to reduce the fee structure. Those who have gotten seats through KCET, their fee comes to around 1L per annum.

The NIE - My honest review

Likes

I liked the faculties who are very supportive.
The facilities of the College is also good.

Dislikes

I didn't like the transportation facility.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Yeah sad thing is that they increased the fees structure last year and also take huge amount of money for separate vtu registration which many of us disliked. The complete cost of yours if you apply through comedk will be 2,64,000+25000 for transportation and hostel fees of 1,00,000. There are various scholarships for sc/st Students.

Clubs - The events they conduct are very fun and knowledgeble. And these events are conducted frequently.
Faculty - Faculty is serious for the betterment for every single student in their class

Dislikes

Food - It's not bad but difficult tor me to adjust. But in terms of hygiene, yes it's bad.
Flexibility - College feels too fast, exams happen very quick, exams then quiz then practical exams then again exams and the loop continues.

Fees and Financial Aid:

I think fees is okay if we compare it to other colleges considering this college's placement opportunities. I'm not receiving any kind of scholarship as for now, internships are provided in college after 2nd semesters.

The tuition fees for kcet students is 114000 per annum.no fixed hike rate is there.College does not necessarily provides any scholarship. From fifth semester onwards the college provides internships with stipends.

I don't like the location of college north campus is in the out skirts of Mysuru

Fees and Financial Aid:

I would say the fee is a bit high but the college provides us various internship and placement opportunities, so it's worth it. The annual fee is about 2.73 lakh for the session 2023-24. The hostel and transportation fee combined is 125000 for 1 year.
