Rajiv Gandhi Institute of PetroleumTechnology offers B.Tech/IDDInternship Embedded Program to the students to gain industrial experience. It is a 16 weeks long program which helps the students to familiarize the manufacturing and process associated in the industry.

The social clubs main focus is to promote health awareness and financial empowerment. The clubisalso active in organising events like tree plantation and swacch bharat abhiyan.

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of PetroleumTechnology providesseparate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Being a residential institute, it is compulsory for the students pursuing a course at RGIPT must avail the hostel facility. The hostel rooms are furnished withbed, study table, almirah, chair, fan and have adequate space with proper ventilation. RGIPT also provides mess facility with a seating capacity of 200 students. Wi-Fi and LAN facility is being provided to the students round the clock along with power back.

Likes

Mentorship is good here and professor is well experienced here some are new , the interaction with teacher is good .
There is a merit cum scholarship provided to students having a family income of less than 5 lakhs per year and who maintain greater than or equal to 6.5 cpi or above in 1st semester.
The most important thing i like of my college is its beauty.

Dislikes

Hostel life is good but outside college campus there is as such no happening life and inside hostel there is gym , commercial complex , football ground , basketball ground , and mess food quality is average not that good
I also don't like the faculty it is not very trained
No single room is in hostel for each year and college is in outskirts

RGIPT: Institute for Oil and Gas sector

Likes

Selection based on IIT-JEE, so opportunity for students
Petroleum sector opportunity as it provides specialization
Good internship opportunity at Oil industries

Dislikes

Connectivity to major cities was issue to travel
Located around Rural area so can't go out much
Lesser students compared to large universities but it has advantage as well

Placement Experience:

Final semester students are eligilble for placements. Major Oil and Gas industries comes for placements as IOCL, PETRONET LNG, BPCL, ONGC etc. Such companies provides 10 lakh plus CTC. Amost 20-30 percen get campus placement oppourtunity. Rest students can also get placement through GATE exam. I did not apply for campus placemet. I started preparing for UPSC CSE

I like the the hostel facilities provided here
I also like the academic faculties provided here

Dislikes

I dislike the food provided in the mess, the quality of meal is very poor

7th semester onwards students are eligible for placement Iocl, HPCL, BPCL Gail, Indorama, shell, hmel, hal, reliance and many companies visited here Highest package is of 40 lakhs lpaand lowest is 4 lakhs lpa Last year from chemical batch full.batch gets placed My plan is to start a startup after getting degree

Overall experience are good but facilities are good
Hostel infrastructure are good because it's new

Dislikes

Campus is small and sports facilities are good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good and mainly they follow the curriculum of IIT bhu or any other IITs because it's a college of national importance and established in a parliament act . And faculties are also good they are so much cooperative

Hostel life and the faculties with Arpan and Gyanarpan programs are commendable.

Dislikes

The placement scenario for CSE and other branches

Placement Experience:

Chemical and Petroleum Engineering grads tend to lead the placements. We've got GAIL, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, HMEL, JSW, Nayara, Indorama and the list goes on. In Chemical 95% get placed. Petroleum engineering grads tend to get placed at ONGC,OIL,Shell,Halliburton (off campus) and more. CSE and branches are suffering due to placements. We get to hear that Electronics branch is going to get a good placement.

Likes

Placements are very good of this college
Food quality of mess is very good. They also provide less spicy food for people having some problems
Hostel rooms are very well maintained and equipped with all the necessary items.

Dislikes

There's no proper facility to play cricket.
The nearby area of college is not so developed so we've to everytime to Raebareli to get our things

Remarks:

Internet connection with high speed is something one misses in vacation.
