Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is similar to any college. However there are few add on compulsory courses. These are related to Hydrocarbon industry. Such courses include, Natural gas processing, Petroleum refining, Geology and Introduction to Petroleum Engineering. Though as per revised curriculum, Geology and IPE are dropped. Curriculum is perfectly contemporary. Domain specific courses in Hydrocarbon are important to increase understanding of the industry. It helps in getting placement opportunities as well. Exam pattern is similar to board exam. However, examination are solely matter of course instructor. So, some courses have open book examination. Apart from examination, assignment and class tests also account handsome weightage in marking. Examination are held twice in a semester. One is mid semester and other is end semester. Students are encouraged for industrial tour. College arrange for one such in third year of Btech.

Placement Experience

4

Placement of the college is not great, but better than any NITs Chemical engineering. The number of core job offers are very high. Also, average pay is about 10lakhs. However, due to limited branches, college fail to attract non core, IT or consultancy companies. This take a toll of placement figure. Average placement is about 60%. Though, a new trend of clearing GATE to get placed in PSU is started. Companies conduct aptitiude, GD and interview. Good GPA score increases your chances of high salaried jobs.

College Events

3.5

Kaltarang and Energia are the cultural and sports activities held by the college. Technical activities include Urjotsav, Winter school. There are number of national and international Conferences organised aswell. To give insight of professional life, guest lectures are organised as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The entire fee amount 9 lakh 70 thousands over 4 years. Which include tution fee, hostel fee and mess charges. Both online and offline mode of fees payment are accepted. No extra fee is charged for any admission, except for ?10000 of one-time admission fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

College award merit and merit-cum-means based scholarship to top 10% the students in each batch. Cumulative GPA is considered to be parameters in deciding the awardees. Also, students with extremely good marks are appointed as tutor in that course. This is a paid appointment.

Campus Life

5

Campus is serene and calm. Gender ratio is poor. There is lot of diversity as students from all over India are admitted without any state quota. Sports activities include cricket, tennis, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, basket ball and kabaddi. Also, there is gym for fitness freaks. There is lot of tolerance, be it religious, ethinic, racial or sexual. People here posses independent and progressive political view. However, prima facie indicates them being apolitical. Economic status of people here is good. Most of the people can afford college fess without loans and aids.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostels are spacious, well ventilated and extremely beautiful. It is allocated on sharing basis. A room is shared by two people. Though, each one has independent study table, wardrobe, chair and bed. Every students need necessarily live in hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumuni network is not very strong. Colleges and students donot bother much after completion of degree. Though, now there is strong movement to reconnect alumuni.

Admission

To get into this college, one need to clear JEE ADVANCED. So, I prepared for JEE to get into an IIT for b tech course. Though, I qualified both JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED. I failed to get good rank in both. As a result, I was left with two options either opt a good branch in Lower NITs or a lower branch in Good NIT. But, that was not all. I came to know about RGIPT. This public institute intake used rank of JEE ADVANCED. I have secure better rank in Advanced. So I chose, Chemical Engineering at RGIPT. For this I dropped my seat in IIIT Gwalior.

Faculty

4

Faculty of institution are good. Though some professor are poor in transferring knowledge, majority are great at it. Each course has 40 lectures. Average age of techer will be 45 years, while most of them are around 40. They hold PhD degree either from any IIT or fanous foreign universities. They did their Mtech from IITs and bachelor either from IIT or well recognised colleges. If listened carefully, all the subject knowledge, us beautifully taught without much trouble. All the professor have achieved great heights in their academics and industry.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose B.Tech CSE course as I am interested in Computer and Coding. Don't go behind the trend. Choose the course according to your interest. Every course and specialization is difficult in its own. Personally I suggest if you took addmission and you are in 1st semester, please focus on your studies. Don't kept roaming and bunking classes as 75% attendance is also necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is Totally academic level which is easy to moderate There are only one or two coding subjects which is done in form of workshops The overall syllabus is good but old and is related to aktu syllabus which needs a change and won't help in technical field a lot Curriculum is still moderate and easy to clear but still some students are back and detained due to less attendance Which is the biggest issue in this college that is 85% u can only take 6-7 holidays in a semester which is so less and two three holiday will let u detained in sessionals which will overall decrease the internal marks in your overall cgpa of college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects like ITC, COI influenced me as why they are in the curriculum they don't provide any skills for the engineering students. Students also studies these subjects in one day and give exam and they forget these subjects add no importance in the curriculum. There are subjects like acquiring buisness communication which helps us to improve our conversation skills confidence that is helpful in the future while interviews. The improvement in the subjects which is not useful for engineering and to increase more things which helps us in coding make us skill good. The frequency and timings of exams are quite tough there are consecutive classes along sessional exams student always stressed and the attendance is also higher so the student can't also take leave for his own mentality stability and to relax . The difficulty is quite high .

Our curriculum gets better from this year as so many changes occur due to college become autonomous Like a better coding platform bought by college for student i.e. CODETANTRA and some subjects of 2nd year introduced in the 1st year like COLD and DSTL , Promoting students to participate in Hackathon by mailing to the students about each and every big or small hackathon . Giving them free attendance for that thing . The frequency of exams are about 20 days .
