An Honest Opinion for your future at RGIPT

Likes

Infrastructure that I liked. AC classrooms and Library. Mess is fantastic. Quantity of food is super as compared to IIITs/ IITs.
Ambience is good . Crowd is less. I was lucky to have good quality friends.
Attendance is relaxed , 60% also goes well. Some professor are very good like Vivek Singh Baghel and Kalka Dubey.

Dislikes

Less quality professors, course instructors themselves don't know what to teach as the branch is new.
Less faculties. Bad decision making by CSE department. No GPU infrastructure for LLMs. Current HoD is stupid S bishwas.
Petroleum and chemical professors have some jealousy for CSE department. Students coming RGIPT should only opt for chemical/ petroleum only for better future.

This college was Central Government and was taking admission on the basis of JEE Advanced that are the only 2 reasons to take admission here. I got few colleges but I preferred this. RGIPT conducts its own admission process through its portal. Cutoff for JEE advanced was around 30-35k rank. Admission was smooth process.

RGIPT : An underrated college

Likes

Our college has a tag of institute of national importance and it is counted along the line of iits, so the curriculum here is quite updated as compared to other state government colleges.
Infrastructure here is quite good and very well maintained even hostels here are well maintained if we compare it from other government colleges. There are two seater rooms in hostels .
Faculty here are also well qualified and are very easy to approach and interact. Students here also get a chance to do research work under them.

Dislikes

Our college is situated in a very remote and rural area so there is no place outside to chill.
Mess food is not up to the mark, sometimes it is good but again it becomes worse.
Transportation services are also an issue, we have to go rae barely or lucknow to buy stuffs because they are not available in local market.

Admission:

The admission process included entrance exams like jee advanced and jee mains, but priority of jee advanced candidate is more and if seat remain vancant then it is filled through jee mains. I had applied many state government colleges like gurugram university, mdu rohtak, pec chandigarh, ymca faridabad, iist, iiser. Some of them are quite good but in terms of research and computer science engineering were not there so I freferred RGIPT. Our college accepts admission through JEE Advanced results but if seats remains vacant then it gets filled on the basis of JEE Mains score. Cutoff for JEE advanced is not specific but someone just qualified jee advanced then there is a high chance of getting admission here, and for jee mains, above 94 percentile is considered to be a safe score.

Likes

College campus and classroom are very beautiful and clean
Campus hostals are regularly clean and mass are daily routine brackfast Lunch and dinner timely
College teacher are high qualified and very friendly

Dislikes

College field are very bad when I will go to play games field are very bad
College road are very long and I bored to go classroom

Admission:

This college centre of Rajib Ghandhi institute of petroleum technology in jais amethi ( Central government) other colleges are assam government. This is the reason why I select in this college. This beautiful collge campus

Likes

Free Health centre and highly qualified Doctors and specialists.
Highly Qualified professors. Most completed their doctrate either from foreign universities or from IITs.
Fully furnished Classes and hostel rooms.

Dislikes

The gate pass system, every time you go out you need a gate pass as a fresher.
College at remote location, no outside maze.
Some playing grounds are not that good as expected.

Admission:

I chose this college cause of the tag "An Institute Of National Importance" and this tag will give you a extra privilege during admissions for masters. Admission is also done on the basis of your jee advance score so you get a good peer group.

I liked the course structure of Mathematics and Computing Branch
This collage is very beautiful with a clean atmosphere
This collage provides me new opportunity to excel myself every months we get 2 to 3 big Opportunities to develop ourselves

Dislikes

It's very dominating in terms of Chemicals and Petroleum branches. Same priority must be given to technical branches too
Placement is mostly off campus for technical branches.
Hostel rooms needs to be cleaned by us only

Admission:

I was getting a better branch in this collage with more opportunities. But when I saw my other college list that I got there was the lower branches. So instead of getting good colleges like IIITs and BIT Mesra and having lower branches. I choose to come to RGIPT which is also a reputed name but with a great booming branch. Mode of Admission is Jee Advanced and JEE Mains (but if you apply with jee mains you have less chances of getting a good branch if you have less than 97 percentile)

Mess food is good. The items change every few months. Canteen is cheap.
Hostels are good . We have washing machine. Floor is cleaned everyday.
We have labs and instruments for each department.

Dislikes

Campus is small considering the strength of students.
Tech placements are not like other colleges.
College is in village area .There is no good market nearby college for buying things .

Admission:

I choose this college over others as I was getting CSE branch and also it is goverment college. I applied for NITs,IITs and dtu, nsut. I didn't chose NIT raipur as I was getting lower branch in that college. I coudn't get IIT as my jee advance rank was little less. In my college admission is taken through jee advance and when seats are vacant they take admission through jee mains. 3-4 rounds of counselling takes place and in each round students are alloted different branch based on their jee rank.

The institute has a very cool and great environment
The faculties are too good and support us in every situation
Physical health is given more importance to every student

Dislikes

Cleanliness should be given more importance
Gym instruments should be upgraded for both boys and girls
Playground should be extended for better sports activities

Admission:

I got admission in 2-3 colleges but I choose this college as I mentioned earlier because it is not far away from my home and my transportation becomes easier to me for this college. Admissions processes are done through online mode and cutoffs are based on caste and merit

Reality check of RGIPT

Likes

Well maintained classroom . they are good in size and spacious.
hostel room are very well maintained and cleaned regularly.
food is quite good as compared to others.

Dislikes

Library is very small for the number of students in the college.
too much restriction in timing for going out of the gate.
Fees is quite high for the facilities provided .

Admission:

I got seats in few other colleges like jaypee noida , DTU ,IIPE but i chose RGIPT because its an institute of national importance and i was getting computer science branch here. Amongst all the colleges where i was getting seat RGIPT was a good option so i went with it. RGIPT takes admission with both JEE ADV & JEE MAINS rank.But ADV is preferred for CS branches. Councelling starts on official website after the result then addmision is done according to the merit list.Cutoff is not very high ,one can get cs if has adv rank in 20'sK.

Likes

My colleges mess food is very eatable and tasty
My college hostel infrastructure is gud because we have lifts
Placements are very hood for petroleum branch

Dislikes

Infrastructure of college is less better than teachers quarter
Placements are very bad for it branches mainly computer science
Very less size of campus with less exposure even outside the campus

Admission:

I scored 110 marks in JEE advanced but because of higher cutoff this year I was unable to get into iits and because of lower percentile in jee mains i had no choice but to select between these few institutes

I liked the good infrastructure of this college.
I liked the faculties and mess food here.
I admired the extracurricular activities and sports as well as fests taking place here.

Dislikes

I do not like the remote location where this college is located.
I didn't like the process of getting holiday here to go to your home.
I didn't like some small things like there is no swimming pool in this college

Admission:

I chose this college beacue the crowd coming here is good. It only admits students from the JEE advanced ranklist. Only students who have cleared one of the toughest examinations JEE Advance are able to secure admissions here.
