The Computer Science Department at the college features 4-5 assistant professors but lacks full professors. The student-to-faculty ratio averages 1:45. Students describe faculty as approachable, although the Dean of Student Affairs is not well-liked. Academically, two exams are held each semester, and additional quizzes depend on the instructor. Placement opportunities begin in the fourth year, with internships available from the second year, thanks to a 3-month vacation period. The first CS batch is graduating soon, with no tech placements yet, but many internships secured.
A partnership with Microsoft may improve future prospects. While high salary packages are offered in petro and chemical branches, averaging 10 lakhs, tech placements are limited, with an average package of 6 lakhs for just a few students. PhonePe's recent visit suggests potential growth in tech placements. Tuition fees are Rs. 123,300 per semester for general and OBC students and Rs. 98,300 for SC and ST students, inclusive of hostel fees but not the Rs. 20,000 mess fee billed annually.
Scholarships are available, including a merit-cum-means scholarship that refunds about 25% of the academic fee, and additional scholarships for top performers. Concessions are offered to a few top students, but no fee waivers are available. Additional costs include caution money and admission fees. Despite limited company visits for placements, internship opportunities exist, and future improvements are anticipated.
