RGIPT Faculty: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 104 Reviews

The faculty at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) are highly qualified, with many holding PhDs from prestigious institutions such as IITs and renowned foreign universities. The faculty-to-student ratio is favorable, reported as 1:20 to 1:100, allowing for personalized attention. The faculty is a mix of seasoned professors with 20-25 years of industry experience, alongside young and less experienced educators. While faculty credentials are strong, some areas like Computer Science and IT departments require improvement in teaching experience.

The curriculum is designed with a practical approach akin to IIT standards, and classes include both lectures and tutorials. Faculty members are approachable and supportive, assisting students in both academic and non-academic concerns. The institution conducts mid-semester and end-semester exams, with a structure allowing students to engage with multiple disciplines initially, leading to specialized courses in later semesters. Despite some variability in teaching effectiveness, the majority of faculty excel in imparting knowledge, and the institution provides platforms for student-faculty interaction through clubs and mentorship programs.

Student Snaps:

Faculty:

Faculties are in very less number. Also very few of them are real professors. So many are just bad speaker and egoistic. CSE Professors don't know what to do and teach. Lab work is absolutely a lie. No quality phd student TA for us. In AI some professors are good like Vivek Baghel sir and some maths professors like Manoj sir. Some physics professors are fantastic like , Vipin Amoli sir and Tathmay basu sir. One electronics professor is also very good but behaviour is strange: HoD of Electronics. Exams here are very easy to medium. 1 week of intense preparation is enough to score 8 cpi. Course design is decent. Mostly modern subject. Gargi mam : she looks into T&P and her nature is very very very bad. She also teaches like a hell.

Faculty:

Faculty to student ratio is good 10 students for one faculty. Ratio is far better than some IITs. Course structures are good for 1st and 2nd semester you have to study subjects related to every stream and branch, but after that you get a deep dive in your department and Branch related subjects. The curriculum is highly related to placements and according to today's requirement.

Faculty:

The faculties to students ratio is great you don't need to be conserned about that but we have very less no of classroom because new building took a lot of time to be created. All the staffs and Professor are always ready to help you. I will not disclose any names but the Mathematics department has the best Mathematics you will ever see. But academics is little tough to handle if you are opting for MnC be mental prepared to play with numbers and words. Every year like other colleges we have 4 exams. Mid Semester(30 Marks) then End semester (70 Marks) along with assignment and quiz and Tutorial Classes for question Solving

In tech branches a teacher takes a class of approximately 120 students . When classes are taken in auditorium whole tech branches are there. Some of the teachers are supportive and help us . In one semester, there is one mid sem and one end sem. These exams are moderate and most of the students pass in exams.About 4-5 students fail in a subject in a class. Some students who fail in the subjects or have low attendence have to give the exams next year.

The faculty to students ration varies Department to department but average would be around 1:45. Mostly faculties are very good in terms of help and approch they are ready to help you in terms of studies. The dean of student affairs is hated moslty among the students. there are two exams per semester one is mid semester and the second is end semester.quizes depends on the faculty. exams are not too difficult to pass infact not too difficult to score good.
