This institution is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and Approved by UGC/Govt. of Karnataka with the great vision of serving the people by catering to the needs of the engineering profession in the Global market. NMIT offers a wide range of academic programs comprising 11 UG and 7 PG programs in Engineering besides MBA, MCA, and Doctoral programs of VTU and University of Mysore.

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) provides Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) programme for the candidates interested to make career in the field of Engineering and Technology. The B.E programme holds a duration of four years for each of the specializations offered by Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology.
The college makes the admission of candidates via different procedures:
- Government of Karnataka conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) by which 50% seats of total intake is filled.
- 25% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through COMED-K test, which is also conducted by Karnataka Govt.
- 25% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through management quota.
- AICTE has approved 15% extra seats for foreign nationals/PIO/NRI/students whose parents work in Gulf countries over and above the sanctioned intake
Note: The college offers a 5% of marks relaxation in the eligibility criteria for the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

As I am writing a review about my college i read the review of the college i was going to( jain college) I am actually a day schooler the Jain college is out of the city and the accomodation is the problem and I even heard that the placements of jain is not that great compared to NMIT

- the infrastructure and all buildings are good. all classes have been equipped with projectors and the campus is lush green campus. the college does have all sorts of amenities like bakeries canteens and greenery.
- the social interactions in this college depends on language becuase there are more people from north india tho. but even though if u are a kannadiga too you can fit in. the canteen is top notch with all foods veg and non veg.
Dislikes
- the things i disliked about this is the speakers that are not installed in any classes for seeing any videos in class.
Admission:
i chose this college over other college is because of autonomy status and it wasnt purely affiliated to university. it had a very good placement companies to come and this college would prepare you for placements starting from 2nd year itself which makes us both confident from early age. the other colleges would start preparing got placement when its too late that is around 6th sem but here they start at 3rd sem itself. as its autonomous the exams would be lighter and easier than other colleges purely affiliated to universiyt

- Exposure we get inside campus only as it’s important

- The way they conduct labs I don’t like it much
- Practical knowledge here we get less over all in engineering college

The college is in outside traffic area and the campus is very big compared to other campus built in Bangalore and facilities are best I heard before joining so I thought to choose this and one more thing is in this college they give more importance to ieee clubs and there are many clubs and I m part of one club where we make solar electric vehicles for competition

- Accredited by NAAC with A grade and it is accredited by NBA and is was established in 2001 and now it is the university and the highest packages are 35lpa and the lowest is 400000lpa top companies like Infosys,Wipro,TCS, Microsoft and many more will
- Ranked among top 100 engineering college in india and ranked 5th among karnataka state and the campus is 23acres with a huge sitting area and play grounds and lot of cultural activities going around and central library with 50000 volumes and there
Dislikes
- The teachers are not so well experienced and they never teach any thing in class and we have to learn from our end and they will not even pass or you won't get good score even after studying hard and the just fail and make you to apply for supplement
- Even after writing supplementary they won't pass you and few teachers behave very rude as if they own that college and it is located very far from the heart of bangalore and no proper government bus or city bus will come there only auto or cabs we
Admission:
Comparatively this college is very good according to its atmosphere and whether will be so clam and suitable for learning without any pollution and this have lot of placement opportunities comparative to the other colleges in bangalore

First of all this colleges is near to my place. As of all i know or have heard this seemed one of the decent college for education. The place was good place to study for 4 years peple there felt like there would be a better environment. The education feedback was hood. The placement seemed decent.

- coaching is good and placements is also good.Main is everything is done on point.
- extra curricular activities are provided with occupies students to participate in many competitions and earn their credits.
Dislikes
- the food is quite dissapointing as it contains too much of oil
- buses some are given college busses some bmtc

So this college was not in my list but fate brought me here.But after joining its actually different in every ascpect be in education,placements and in many other ways.so what went wrong was because of medical seat and i need to cancel and i even lost the seat which i got in my kcet councelling.

In my first round I have got CMRIT and in second round I have got NMIT, I have choosed NMIT because CMRIT focuses more on academics where NMIT focuses on academics as well as other curricular activities too.

- The timing of the class were like the timings of primary school from morning 9 to evening 4:20
- The rules and regulations were very strict.

I applied for RVCE, MSRIT , but I preferred this college because NMIT is growing fast as compared to other colleges. Nmit admit the students through KCET,comedk, management . It has different cutoff of ranks based on their category and reservation. Overall admission process is good

To get through this college either u can write cet comedk or management i wrote cet and honestly while looking for colleges i found this one better than most of the other colleges and there is entraance exams for this college also if u wanna join it

- Student peer is not good,you have to find out by yourself the group from that you can grow yourself
- College is on outskirts of banglore,there would be traveling issues you have travelled 3km to reach main road where you can buy essentials

I get into in through comedk quota ,where my rank is 9121 i get into artificial intelligence and data science course I can also get informative science whose cutoff was 6000-10000,there is no reservations though comedk quota .the admission process was good didn't get any difficulty
