Sometimes when we get language barriers they resolve it.and teachers in lab is so active they help each and every student to get clarity over things.
The college should provide scholarships on basis of student's skills because most of the students come from middle class family and it would be very helpful and motivating for them if college does so.
Placement scenerio of it department is about 80% percent on campus.lots of mass hiring companies visited our college like tcs, cognizant, accenture and lti.so they hire approx 60 students so placement is pretty good.

Dislikes

Fees structure i don't like as it is too high to pay and also very different fees structure is oresent here different from all other colleges
College campus is small and no tennis court no cricket ground no football ground
I am still a student in 1st year, so there is no placement this year, but the placement stats for branches other than cse is poor.

Nsec college for an 1st yr csbs student

Likes

Tech club culture, coding culture, seniors are so frank and helpful
Wifi connection is present in every classroom
Teachers and faculties also support you and clear doubts via WhatsApp

Dislikes

Small campus so campus life enjoyments expectations can impact
Male-female ratio is a problem... literally in our class only 7girls and other 65 is boy
Some lab teachers are not as knowledgeable as it should be

6th sem or 3rd year.. but most of time 4th year get priority. Lots of companies are visiting every year like Capgemini, Accenture, tcs, Infosys, sap, many more.. most of the time 80-85%are placed The package depends on you. Infosys comes and offers an 8lpa senior software engineer post and also offers a 3.2lpa software engineer post. 80-85% are placed every year Plan a: graping 10lpa+ Package Plan b: doing mba

Netaji Subhash Engineering College

Likes

Helping and cooperative faculty in every department
Clean and fresh environment all around the college
Big and spacious smart classrooms with 60-65 strength

Dislikes

Canteen food is very mediocre and low quality
No facility of hostel,has to live in costly PGs and Mess
Campus is too small with the college ground located outside the campus

Placement Experience:

I won't brag about Placements but it's mediocre. Not too good, not too bad. MNC's do visit but less in number and do provide job opportunities. Many booming startups, tier 2 companies visit and provide dream category packages. Although the average package is around 6-7LPA but that doesn't indicate the company scenario in this college.

Likes

Some of the faculty members are good
There is no attendance policy that is very good if you want to do your gate preparation then this is plus point
No dress is required that is also a good .

Dislikes

Some of the faculty members are very bad
There is no canteen inside the college..

Placement Experience:

The placement of computer science is good but for core beanches college doesn't provide any help there is not a single core company arriving for placement only it company visit this day by day placement are drastically down

Real Review for Netaji Subhas Engineering College, Garia.

Likes

Mostly friendly teacher and staff, some of them really helps us in the curriculum to sit for the placements.

Dislikes

The management as far as I experienced in 1st Year, is awful. There was no holidays given even in national holidays like in Guru Nanak's birthday.
No such proper playground here, only 2-3 sports are played which are indoors.

Placement Experience:

Placements here are better for tech branches like CSE, IT, etc. For other branches it is very rare and not in good position at all. As far as I heard, TCS, Cognizant, etc visits us. My plan after a degree from this college is to sit for GATE for higher studies.

Insights of NSEC

Likes

Quality of students studying in the college
Various importance clubs and extracurricular activites
Very good alumina network of the college.

Dislikes

Smaller campus area as compared to other colleges
College with no hostel in it which causes problem for distant students
Old edition books at library and lack of books following present pattern

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty of NSEC are very knowledgable with very excellent teaching methods. They are well qualified with higher education degrees. Also faculty:student ration is very good as compred to other collegs.

NSEC Through the Eyes of a Fresher

Likes

The college has very good atmosphere for senior junior relation.
The college has many student run clubs to aid the students in their extra curriculum activities and learning new things.
The college has relatively good campusing and placement record in last few years.

Dislikes

The college has relatively high fees and fees hike is frequent.
The college does not has a large campus and is relatively small for the amount of fees they charge.
College needs better faculty members and better lab assistants. Also the labs can be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the CSBS course because of my interest in both computer science and management aspect. The faculty members of the Basic Engineering Sciences department are decent enough. The faculty members are adequately qualified for their positions. The college follows a semester system. End-semester exams are organised after 6 months. Internal exams are also conducted. The exams are not too difficult some preparation is sufficient enough to pass.

My experience at NSEC

Likes

Extra curricular activities and participation in clubs
Supportive seniors who guide for betterment
Placements records are somewhat okay as compared to other colleges

Campus is small as compared to other private colleges
Library books are old generation with no present pattern
college location is not good, surrounding area is not developed

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose CSBS because I got it in WBJEE counselling. Maximum faculty members are veryy good,far better than expected. Each and every faculty is holding Ph.D degree or pursueing the course. Their teaching method is undertandable and all concepts are cleared in the class only. Every month there happens some internal exams to continuosly assess the students.

All professors are good. Teaching method good.
Exam preparation are good and their behaviour good
All things are tooo good and i am also good

Dislikes

Fees are too high. this is bad thing for college

Good infrastructure with well maintained classrooms and all
Experienced teachers with friendly behavious helps a lot.
Never regret for taking admisssion in this college. Just wow

Dislikes

Government scholarships not available for non west bengal student
if you do not know bengali, you will face a little problem
campus is not too big. Its a bit small. Thatswhy its ground is outside the college. heehe

Placement Experience:

I m jus 2nd year student. This year there is less placement not only in my college but every college..due to receession time. but many of them are placed in good companies this year also like accenture . Average package is 7lpa and highest package on campus is 42lpa.

Life at NSEC

Likes

Classrooms are quite spacy and well maintained.
The central library, reading room and collection of books
Sitting ground for the students to sit and enjoy

Course Curriculum Overview:

I heard from aluminis that the CSE department is quite good and experienced. The faculty student ratio is also good. All the faculty are quite experienced and friendly. The exams were being conducted by MAKAUT so college conducted it timely with the board
