Course Details

The college offers three-year of B.Sc. Honours course in six specializations and BSc. Major in two specializations.

Those who have completed 10+2 from West Bengal Board or any other equivalent Board such as CBSE/ ISC with full marks in English are considered eligible to get admission into B.Sc. Honors/ Major course.

Admission in B.Sc. Honors/ Major course is given on the basis of their eligibility and merit in the qualifying examination.

Life at Gokhale!

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees is very affordable. For Hons courses, it is mostly around 13k-14k pa. The courses with practical maybe a bit higher. Special courses like Clinical, Nutritions and Communicative courses are also present with fee ranging from 20-22k pa. Special scholarships are present for students with financial problems The college doesn't provide any jobs.

Our syllabus was quite updated and also a bit tough than the previous years since I was the 1st batch under CBCS. So a lot of changes were there, and in a short time had to cover a huge syllabus. The faculties are very good, they are quite student friendly and are very much helpful. they always provided us a ample amount of notes and also took extra classes when necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It’s the faculty of my dept for which I chose this college, the administration is strict and systematic and also things are done well meticulously. The infrastructure is quite small compared to other colleges it’s like pretty smaller and narrow like how a college should look it’s very small in case of the campus space, this is the only thing very disappointing. There is no enough space for a canteen, our canteen can accommodate maximum 6-7 girls since it’s placed in a small room, our dean is strict which is kinda good and our faculty is the best.

Our syllabus has been updated by Calcutta University and redesigned as semester system. We have six semesters in total divided for six months each. The syllabus has a huge depth. We now have internal exams and tutorials which helps us in preparing well. We've a great faculty like Dr. Sarthak Roy Chowdhury and Dr. Sanchita Sen who looks into our academics and as well as all the activities.
