It’s the course which allowed me to get a seat for this particular subject and also I just love the faculty of my department. Primary reason for choosing this college is mainly the Economics dept faculty
Course Curriculum Overview
It’s the faculty of my dept for which I chose this college, the administration is strict and systematic and also things are done well meticulously. The infrastructure is quite small compared to other colleges it’s like pretty smaller and narrow like how a college should look it’s very small in case of the campus space, this is the only thing very disappointing. There is no enough space for a canteen, our canteen can accommodate maximum 6-7 girls since it’s placed in a small room, our dean is strict which is kinda good and our faculty is the best.
Placement Experience
Well ours is a college under University of Calcutta where the academic programmes are being conducted at the undergraduate level only. So there is no campus placement or internship in the academic activities. No one can guarantee whether after graduating from this college can surely get a job so in that case you have to take good care of your academic records, study well and maintain your SGPA score in each semesters. People after graduation either have to go for a post graduation or they search for companies for their interviews that’s how the life of a Gokhalite is all about.
College Events
Since our college is a very small campus so it fails to hold up big events or college feats within its own area. We tend to have our annual programme or sports outside the campus or in an auditorium and we have a few big events like the annual programme, sports day and exhibition. College fests requires a huge platform and students from other colleges have to participate so we don’t keep them. Occasionally dept fests within the classroom is sometimes being organised otherwise it’s a college with a good faculty but once you’re in it will give the vibe of a relived school life in your college life.
