Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I loved psychology as a subject hence I decided to choose this course. The curriculum prepares us pretty much in a considerable amount for the real world. The curriculum should not be so much in detail for sem 1 itself. It is very detailed and varse for someone who is in Semester 1. The current syllabus, alteast requires more than 6 months to prepare properly, and the difficulty of the practicals is very unreasonable.

Internships Opportunities

0.5

As far as I know there is no placement opportunities and there is no free internship available, whatever we need to do is my paying for ourselves. The college does not provide any of these and we are expected to do everything.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is pretty much okay. Everything is quite reasonable. Many scholarships including, swami vivekananda, kanyasree are provided. Which provides more or less No nothing as job, I have undertaken as if now.

Campus Life

1.5

The overall life is pretty boring here. It's all academics and nothing. There are fewer options of students activities Iike sports other than that there is literally nothing. The campus is small with very little space. The students are only expected to study and score well. There is whatsoever no college life.

Admission

The admission was smooth, but in the payment process, I didn't get my money back from few colleges I applied for but didn't continue. All the candidates should keep an update of news and links of admission. SC and ST will get benifits along with OBCs, Calcutta University has bad placements and the syllabus has become a Little bit difficult. Instead opt for a college where there is better placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Political Science as a discipline is quite a bigger domain, which has a huge area to cover, so in terms of comprehensiveness, it was enough to build ones understanding on the subject fully, provided the immense support of the faculty was an add on. The faculties made use of every possible Teaching method starting from Lecture, Discussion, also engaged students in PPT Presentation, Oral Presentation, made us watch documataries, made us visit libraries and read various books, made us write notes from the other reference books. In short, it was enough to build an overall understanding as well as helped me a lot further to go ahead with Masters course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose philosophy cause I read philosophical novels and I had an interest in it but honestly I'm not going with it in future. Though the department is excellent, the teaching staff is excellent and we get to learn about real world Philosophy, Ethics and morals. Teacher takes classes for major papers everyday and teaches every topic by ending providing notes. Viva and tutorials are the part of the course.. Area of improvement is that the teachers should provide more notes on English mode and teach in English mode as well because not everyone comfortable in Bengali. Frequency of examination is worse under Calcutta University, you don't get adequate time for preparation and that's the worst part.

Placement Experience:

Placements at VBU especially for courses like BA IN JAPANESE are limited. Most students do not receive offers through campus recruitment. However, the course opens up oppurtunities in fields like translation, interpretation and working with Japanese Companies especially for those who clear JLPT N2 or N1. After completing my bachelor's I plan to pursue an MBA as combining language skills with management education offers a strong edge in the global job market.

In our college The course is for three years. These three years have been divided into six semesters. Six months is a semester. Final exams are taken every semester. Also, our college has different facilities. There is a mess for the students. There is a library for the students so that they do not have any difficulty in studying. Which is very useful for us.

I choose this course because I was a arts student it in class 12. I like the English subject very much and I got a good number in English in 12th class. You must have above 80% in 12th exam to qualify in the admission process. The teachers of the college are very good person they help us a lot in study. Exams were divided in semesters. Per year there are 2 semistars. The exam were easy for who studied and hard for who didn't.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum and faculty members are great to be honest. I come from a family of Bengali graduates,so there was a common interest in Bengali.Besides it's my favorite subject too. There was 100 students per course. There was more than 20 courses available in our college. The faculty members are so helpful and they are enough qualified, they help us in every situation. The teaching method is so good. The good thing about our college is ,they supervise our attendance carefully. Its one of the reason why teachers are also motivated and try their level best to teach us according to our benefits. They will give us some extra details of the topics, take extra classes, use projectors and so on.The teaching method is standard. The exams happens in every 6 months. Its very difficult to pass these exams .The questions are always so standard in our college. Its so hard to get a good score.
