I have always wanted to persue English as a career. I love studying English but not a big fan of the new curriculum by NEP that includes a lot pf irrelevant papers. The semesters are not consistent. Odd semesters usually have a lot of time like 6-8 months but even semesters barely consist of 2-3 months.

the theoretical knowledge of the faculty really attracted me to the college. the coirse required for us to keep up with daiky readings to help in real world if you take ut up seriously. i think audio visual leaening would really better the course.

English Hons. helps the students to learn and understand each material , may it be prose , poetry , articles ,etc in depth . The part of History of English Literature lets you to connect with the eighteenth century society , it makes us understand the importance of literature and how literature influenced the modern day world and writings .

Since my childhood I love the subject English. That's why I chose that Subject. I think the campus should be big . because it is very small . And the faculty of English is too much good. The professors are helpful.

In our college, the professer are very strict about our course curriculum. Here every topic, every practical is handled with care. Any difficult is clear by the professor without any delay. Before Calcutta University exam , our college organises a mock test and prepare us well for the CU examination.

The course I am Persuing is very serious. Students need to be focused all of the time in studies.. As physics is very difficult subject, students need to engage themselves all time in studying.. And there's numerous career opportunities with physics

I've always liked psychology since the day i took the subject in class 11-12. I was very determined to persue psychology in my graduation as well as masters. The curriculum convinced me more to study this subject and know more about it. The curriculum involves all the aspects including it's applications in the real world. I personally don't think they should make much changes to the curriculum.

The study of Bengali is slowly decreasing, students are not getting it because no one is getting any job after studying Bengali. And no one wants to give importance to Bengali language in that way, so I want it.

I loved psychology as a subject hence I decided to choose this course. The curriculum prepares us pretty much in a considerable amount for the real world. The curriculum should not be so much in detail for sem 1 itself. It is very detailed and varse for someone who is in Semester 1. The current syllabus, alteast requires more than 6 months to prepare properly, and the difficulty of the practicals is very unreasonable.

I chose this course because I love english language as a subject and because Gokhale has a reputation as a good college which is known by everyone in Kolkata, based on that I took my admission here and I absolutely do not regret my decision. Here in Gokhale college, the current faculty is very good and there are five professors who are highly qualified and the strength of the class is nearly 45 to 48 students. The faculty here is really friendly with students and focuses on both academic and physical aspects. The teaching method here is quite good like you have a TV in classroom which is used for ppt presentation, movies and interviews of the author to enhance the knowledge and depth of text and giving opportunities in academic sessions which are frequent in college with career counselling. The semester exams are quite on time and the topics for paper work are also provided when the chapter are done within time. The exams are obviously difficult but preparation are done really well
