I am good in computer programming and had interest to continue in this line only so I chooses BCA
They are make it better by providing the notes early ... Very bad habit of sending notes before the exams
Internship opportunities which help in build a strong resume
Highly qualified faculty for any queries either related to study or some other stuffs.
Great learning environment helps in focus on your goal
Dislikes
Small campus leading to boring life as you can't have free space
No such canteen inside the campus leading to food scarcity
Too strict on disciples and attendance system
Placement Experience:
Placement cell is quite hardworking, they try their best to call companies. For the current year a list of almost 30 companies has visited and among which 5 are mass recruiters. hence the average package leads to 6 lakhs, and hence the ROI of my year is 0 to a max students.
Opportunities they provide like internships, jobs, corporate exposure.
All time open library, one can spend a good amount of time self-studying in the library.
Cultural exposure and events, hackathons, which this college encourages for all the students
Dislikes
85% attendance criteria, which is ultimately a failure since, there are students getting placed into higher salaried jobs, but not attending a single lecture throughout.
The infrastructure is not appropriate as compared to the fees they take, since the classrooms do not have proper seats, the projector sometimes does not work.
Discipline is necessary, but excess discipline maintenance is toxic, since students are not kindergarten students, so it is a total waste of time to maintain that much amount of discipline.
Placement Experience:
The placement scenario of this institute is also very descent as compared to other private institutes and also the students becomes eligible from semester 6 for placements, more generally , from third year they become eligible for sitting in placements. Companies like IBM, ORACLE, JUSPAY are the ones who provide very descent packages of around 8-9 lpa and then comes mass recruiters like ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, COGNIZENT, TCS offering an average of 5-6 lpa. Around 90 percent students got placements and they also appear for more than onne or two companies and also appear for higher studies.
Overall Education system of the college. The examination policy, two mid terms and an end semester exam in every semesters
Infrastructure of the college is very good. They have their own library and a dedicated elevator facility for only MBA side. They have also a basketball court and a badminton court too. In the 3rd floor, they have a billiards table as well.
Knowledge of the professors are very vast, especially the marketing processor Dr. Kaushik Ganguly, the portfolio management professor Sougata sir.
Dislikes
At exam time, the MBA student's seat are held in the BTech side, which is in the 7th or 8th floor, and BTech side's infrastructure is totally horrible. Fan not running properly. No AC present.
All the BTech professor's behaviour are totally ridiculous. Their attitude is like they are doing job in NASA or ISRO and they have got Nobel for Quantum Physics, and this is applicable for all the Btech teachers!!
College don't miss a chance to get business from the students. Example: in exam time, if you're late, you've to write a letter in an A4 page. Now, if you don't have an A4 page, you've to buy it @2Rs.

Placement Experience:
Placements are quite good as most are in the Sales domain. Then comes finance with PWC, EY, RSM, Barkedia and other MNC companies.
In FMCG, comes ITC, Asian Paints, Everest, Dabur, Himalaya, Marico etc.
For IT company, comes TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini etc.
Good marketing companies like Saint Gobain, ABP, EXIDE batteries which give good packages as well.
Iem has one of the best placement cell in kolkata.
Faculties are well qualified and are always helpful towards there students.
Hygiene is maintained in the campus. All the rooms have Ac , fans and projecter
Dislikes
We have to wear college uniform which feels like we are still in school.
There is no group to play any outdoor sports except basketball.
Entrance time is fixed for all and if we take leave for even one day we have to submit a leave letter.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I have chosen Bca as my undergraduate degree because I have a keen interest in development and how it works. I took commerce in my class 11&12 so I was not eligible for Btech so I choose Bca which provides same knowledge.
Placement oriented curriculum which adheres to Job Requirements rather than commonly taught non so important curriculum
Strict teachers ensuring strict discipline helps shape a student by making him more serious about career, and keeping them away from doing things people tend to do when they reach college life.
Placement is given to all the deserving students, the others are polished and nurtured to the extent of being more than deserving
Dislikes
Less Social Activities and Entertainment Opportunities
Too strict faculty sometimes make them less approachable
Absence of in compound canteen/cafeteria/chill zone

Teachers are very helpful and friendly nature, they help and guide just like her/his own child
Dislikes
Small campus , building of the college is not so big
Some departments of college are so strict for attendance (minimum 70%)
We feel this college just like a school , here you can find a dress code thats the so boring thing
Placement Experience:
From your 3nd year , you can get opportunities for grab placements
I thinks more than 250 companies visit here and give various types of packages
Tcs wipro cognizant infosys oracal and many more
And they offer a good packages
Example----
Oracal give 19 lakh
Tcs give 11 lakh 9 lakh 7.5 lakh and 3.5 lakh
80+% students secure placements through the campus recruitment process
I don't know what i can do in future but i want to grab a job with a good package
The quality of teachers is quite good. Not all teachers are like this but the ratio of good to bad teachers is high. They are interactive and helpful. Most of them will provide their contact information for better communication.
We have to do projects for all subjects and innovation is nurtured. There is a mentor system throughout the course. Mentors can help guide you through the college life and listen to your grievances. The anti-bullying policy is implemented effectively
We have placement classes from 2nd year onwards to help us crack placement tests. For students who want to pursue higher studies we have dedicated GATE,UPSC,CAT classes to help you crack these exams as well. The girl to boy ratio is healthy.
Dislikes
The compulsion to wear uniforms is not something I like. It makes us look like we are still in school. The academic calendar is too congested and it needs to be optimised.
Non air conditioned classes even after paying such high fees. Minimum compulsory attendance is too high. Not allowing students to leave after attending classes they want to attend.
The campus is just a building and has no fields to play (just a basketball court).
Placement Experience:
IEM offers in campus placements. They have a very good record of placements with nearly all its graduates getting placed and the have been doing it consistently since the turn of the century. Students are eligible to be placed from the 6th semester. The average package is 6-7 LPA.
Discipline is their moto and they are very strict about it.
Faculties at the best and supportive one.
They teach you how to cope up with the corporate culture.
Dislikes
College life is not so great as best happen but not very often.
Very strict about attendance and if below 70% you will get debart for examination
Placement Experience:
Though I have not sat for placement but college provide placement classes and placement mentor for the final year and also companies like ernst and young, TCS, Wipro come for placement and in placement classes they provide aptitude knowledge general knowledge and the placement teacher is very script about regular homework.
I liked the discipline of the college full raging free college.
Faculty are very cooperative and friendly.
Placements are better than other private colleges.
Dislikes
Campus area is very small and feels like no college life.
Rules and regulations are very strict and uniform is mandatory.
Hostel food is average but sometimes it get worst.
Placement Experience:
Placements for BCA department is good compared to any other college than IIT and JU because they are government and also IEM is known for it's better placements, various famous and renowned companies visit and recruit students from our college like TCS, wipro, cognizant, delottie and capegemini etc. Some companies offer good packages like SAP LABS recruit the highest number of student from a particular college that is IEM.
