IEM Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placement in our college is very good. The faculty members provide placement classes. Company like Amazon, Accenture, tcs are taking students as employees and many start up companies are hiring from the college

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

I am a student of Electronics and Communication (ECE). The faculty-student ratio is 1:8. The faculties are well-qualified, and their teaching method is overall good. Their exams are at a moderate to hard level.

Each class contains 80 student and we have classes 5 days a week for 7 hours everyday.75% attendance is compulsory.the faculty are good although some may not be able tocomplete their sallybus on time.so you do have to study some things yourself

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Name of the Companies visited are TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, PWC, Accenture, Infosys, Oracle, Adobe, EY, EQ technologies, LTI etc Highest package 27 LPA and average package 4 LPA of mass recruiters. 95% of students getting placements in a year of all dept. My plan is to take placement and go to the IT sector.

From 3rd year i.e 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. All the service base companies visits like TCS, Cognizant, Accenture and even companies like Adobe also visits sometimes. Avg package is 6.5lpa 100% placements. After Btech my plan is for Mtech

I have chhosen this because it's something new what I like. for a subject 5-6 facultys are there which are the best professor, book writers and many more. Many of faculties done their PhD and some of done UG or PG from IITs. Accross 90% of faculties teach fantastic and also from basic with an interactive classes. Mid term 1 and 2. These are the two examination which we have to give as term exams. Each subject 30marks which are not too hard. You should follow the classes and the notes shared by faculty that's enough for this and also this is term exam so not too much syllabus in this .

We have a very good campus placement opportunity offerd by our vollege .There is a record of 100% pla ement in our college for the CSE dept.Several companies like cognizant accenture tcs kpmg pwc hire from our college .

The course curriculum is too much informative in here and also faculty are so much friendly and helpful. They will guide you as much as they could but you have to be enthusiastic about the curriculum.
