Compared to the regional colleges in West Bengal, the coding culture at HITK is good. At Heritage, there is an ACM Student Chapter, where you can find people with common technical interests. That said, there isn't any proper group that is dedicated enough to host practice sessions, but, yes, you can meet professors for guidance. Also, the courses allow you to dive into hardcore coding.

Whereas, BPPIMT also offers placements, but the opportunities and salary packages are generally lower (around INR 3-5 LPA).
