The faculties are very much thorough in their subject and has a vast knowledge in their respective fields .They are very much approachable and very helpful towards students. Rituparna mam ,Sudipta bhadra sir and satrupa mam are great teachers and make great efforts from their end to help students.I don't like SND sir because of his way of teaching.Every semester has two exams a mid term and a end term .If one make a little effort and solve the suggestives one can score good marks

I guess the class atmosphere can get better.

I guess the course structure can get better. Cause for the even semesters we don't get enough time to complete our syllabus. Faculties for ece are good but the cse faculties of our class are not that good. The exam patterns are quite good for me.

In my department faculty is very good polite. Three play grounds are also there. Overall placement record is also good.

student teacher coordination is very less

HITK is renowned for its dedicated faculty, comprehensive course. structures,and well defined examination systems.Notable faculty members. in my department Prof.Dona Chatterjee and Prof.Subhasankar Chowdhury.The program for civil engineering spans for four years,divided into eight semesters.There are many subjects. like SOM, SA , Soil, Highway, Fluid etc. HITK follows a structured eveluation process to assess students performance.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

The faculties are quite helpful and sincere in their respective roles and are highly qualified

Student Snaps:

The faculty to student ratio is quite high as there are at least two teachers teaching the same subject as the curriculum of each subject is divided into models that can be taught separately by the professors. The faculty to student relationship is quite good as most of the professors are approachable and friendly with obviously a few exceptions here and there. Amongst the professors,my personal favorites include Prof.Subhajit Dutta, HOD of Data Science department and Ms.Sudipta Roy of Mathematics Department. There are two semester exams every single year leading to a total of 8 end semester exams each of 60 marks along with 40 marks worth of internal assessment divided into 4 unit tests during each semester. The exam's difficulty ranges from moderate to slightly difficult and almost all of the students pass the exams. The coursework is quite relevant with an exception for the 1st Year's Course which is full of topics that are not so relevant but they need to be studied as per the new UGC Guidelines.

HIT KOLKATA - explained briefly

some of the professors are really good and supportive. They will be ready to help you whenever you contact them.

You can check the college website for faculty and their qualifications. If you're coming to electrical bran ch, then there is one faculty you will just admire, especially when you are from a Bengali background. Teachers deliver lectures in Hindi, English, and Bengali, but it will be better to understand and interact in the class if you know some Bengali beforehand. There will be four surprise tests and a few assignments. No worries, explore your college lif, but be serious in the last month, and you will be able to easily manage all of them. But try investing time in useful stuff

Life at HIT, Kolkata

Very helpful teachers, good department, less fees structure in comparison with other colleges.

In my subject of mtech Biotechnology, er are 12 students affiliated to 12 teachers. So students teachers ratio is well maintained. We are one student under one guide making us easy to work individually. Department of biotechnology specially includes very good teachers . Teachers like nandan kr jana , riddhi sir are very very well talented

Value for money

Classes are big, teachers are supportive in nature.

The faculty to student ratio is considerable. Means students can easily approach them and ask whatever they have problems. I liked the maths faculties. I want to name them like Sauvik Kundu sir, Sandeep chaterjee Sir, Also in physics faculties , I want to take the name of Arindam chakrabarty sir . All of them are expert in their fields ..they know their fields and so knowledgeable. On the other hand, I want to name Sabhyashachi Chaterjee sir whose writing was not good and the things he wrote on the board were unrecognisable. In the 1st sem, there are 4 labs exam and 4 theory papers. And all of them are not so hard. There are like average.
