At first the fees was around 4 lakhs for the course but now it has increased by 25000 per semester that is around 6 lakhs for the complete course. I paid around 69,500 for the current semester.This fee includes 10,000 as development fee Economically weaker students belonging to TFW category has to pay just 10000 per semester.Besides we need to pay 1200 as exam fee per semesterand 500 yearly makaut registration fees.There is scholarship which can be availed by bengal domicile students as it is provided by Bengal government

I really think my branch ece is better than others according to scopes and facilities like research.

Fees and Financial Aid:

For the 1st and 2nd sem fees was 44500 . After that it suddenly increased by 55%. And now per sem we have to pay 69500. So for this the whole college fees is now 506000. There are also form fill up fees which is around 9600 for all of the semesters.

B.TECH program fee structure(2024-2025) total fees 6 LAKH initial 1 LAKH during admission semester wise 70000 for Gen/SC/ST/EWS catagory and for TFW students INR 9000 only. M.TECH Program Total fees is around 2.5Lakh. Fee Trends There has been an increase in the fee structure over recent years,the fee was approximately INR 3.8 lakhs ,but now its around 6 to 7 lakhs. Scholarship 1.TFW for TFW students 5% seats are reserved under this scheme,providing full tution fee waivers. 2.Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Govt provide this scholarship to students 60000 per year.

The annual fees per year for the undergraduate bacheloratte degree programme can be divided into the following. At the time of admission, Gen/SC/ST/EWS Students have to pay a one time fees of INR 1,02,700 which includes Tuition Fees (INR 60,000),Development Fees(INR 9,000), Admission Fees (INR 10,000), Library-cum Book Bank Fee(INR 6,000),Students' Welfare Sports and Games Fee(INR 4,000), University Students' Development Fees(INR 2,200), Causion Deposit (INR 10,000)(refundable), Admission Kit (INR 1,000) and for TFW(Tuition Fee Waiver) Students, a one time fee of INR 42,700 is required. The subsequent semester fees for Gen/SC/ST/EWS Students is INR 69,500 and for TFW Students, it is INR 9,000. Gen/SC/ST/EWS Category Students need to pay a total of INR 1,72,200 for the first year and INR 1,39,500 for the next three years while TFW Students have to pay a total of INR 49,700 for the first year and a total of INR 18,000 for the next three years. The semester tuition fee is 69,500. At the time of admission, you have to spend approximately 97,000 if you are going by merit. Yeah, some scholarship opportunities are available for suitable candidates. You can contact the admin office regarding that. They are very polite in helping.

The fee structure for B.Tech students of Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata is given below for your reference.

Tuition fee (per semester) – INR 44,000 (1st and 2nd semester), INR 45,100 (3rd and 4th semester), INR 46,200 (5th and 6th semester), and INR 47,300 (7th and 8th semester)
Admission fee (one-time fee) – INR 5,000
Library fee (one-time fee) – INR 6,000
Students’ welfare and sports & games fee (one-time fee) – INR 4,000
Caution deposit (one-time fee and refundable) – INR 10,000
University students’ development fee (INR 500 paid yearly to MAKAUT) – INR 2,200 (one-time fee)
Admission kit (one-time fee) – INR 1,000

Thus the total fee amounts to INR 72,200 when you take admission. Since you would have paid INR 20,000 during counseling, you need to pay an additional amount of INR 52,200 after taking the admission. There is a tuition fee waiver scheme implemented by the college according to which you need not pay the tuition fee. In that case, the fee is INR 28,200 and thus you will need to pay only INR 8,200 after taking admission.

The hostel fee is an additional INR 4,500 per month including the mess if you want to take this facility.

The amount keeps changing every year. There is no fixed amount.

Nowadays, the college follows a system of seat-booking whereby you can book a seat if you are not quite sure about your admission to any college. You will have to pay a certain amount specified by the college and your seat will be booked in the stream that you want to opt for if you join the college.

The system is a little different and it is not exactly like the management quota in other colleges. The amount that you have to pay depends on which branch you want to opt for. The more demanding the branch, the more the amount of donation. For example, branches like Computer Science or Electronics are charged more than branches like Applied Instrumentation or Biotechnology.

I would recommend you book a seat and later decide whether you want to join or not. This will cost you less. But, you will have to decide within a short span of time otherwise the authority will move the list and give admission to a lower-ranked individual.

The total fee for the IT branch under the management quota at Heritage Institute Technology can even go up to 10-12 lakhs.

If you are not getting a good college based on your rank then you should think twice about taking admission in engineering. Don't waste any of the hard-earned money. IT is such a branch where you will have to code for your whole life. So, make sure you are up for that, before taking admission.

Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata is a very popular and reputed engineering institute of our country. One of my friends studied here. According to him, you can get admission through the management quota by giving some donations.

Generally, 10% of the total seats are reserved through the management quota.
If you have any connections with the college authorities or the admission council, then you can get admission through the general quota by giving some money.
For the IT branch, it went up to 12 lakhs, but if you are having good marks in class 10th and 12th, then you can bring it down to 9-10 lakhs.
For the ECE branch, it went up to 16 lakhs and for the CSE branch, it was around 10-16 lakhs depending upon the student’s qualifications.
The placement opportunities later available are amazing.
Top companies such as Wipro, TCS, Infosys visit the campus to recruit students.

Hence, if you are not able to make it to the merit list then you can get admission to Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata through donation. But do note that the amount is too high.

Will Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata refund me the fees if I take admission in another college in SPOT counselling of WBJEE 2021?

Yes, you will get a refund. However, you will not get the total amount. As by then you would have attended 9-10 classes in Heritage Institute of Technology, the institute will calculate that and hence deduct about 10-15% of the total fees. And the remaining amount will be refunded by the authority. But, it is important to know that this process is a little time-consuming. The authorities will take about 10-15 days to complete the refund process.

One of my friends got admission to IEM Kolkata and after getting Kalyani in Spot round, he left IEM. He had gone through the whole refund process. The fee he paid was about INR 80 Thousand. He got a refund of about INR 69 Thousand. So, there is no such risk. You will surely get your fee refunded if you choose to leave this college.
