Students can get scholarships like swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship.
Companies like tcs, wipro, info, tejas network, grant thomson, pwc india, ibm, etc, and the placement percentage is also so good approx 90 percent of students get placed.
The campus is so beautiful and peaceful . the natural environment is there so i liked it

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
From the last 3 year's there is no fest organized due to students fight
There are no boys hostel inside campus which is not good

Shaping My Future: A Comprehensive Review of College Life and Academics

Likes

Decent infrastructure for academic , classroom are well equipped and library is well maintained with textbooks, journals and digital access to certain resources.
Best campus life , the campus has an active environment with tech fest , events, and cultural program.
Supportive faculty, faculty members are well qualified and supportive in nature and teaching methods includes PPTs, lab session

Dislikes

No ac in classroom , specially in summer it is very difficult for us to seat in classroom.
Placement support can be improved, the training and placement cell are not so supportive in nature
Hostel and Mess facilities are poor they can be improved and food quality can fluctuate depending on mess incharge.

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester companies started coming and there is different criteria for different companies like some company have criteria for more then 8.5 cgpa will be able to seat only in their placement conducting it is totally based on company preferences. The highest package was 9 lpa and average package was 3 lpa. Around 60 percent student get placed in my department.

academic and faculty expericences : most proffesores are knowledgeblew and expeerricend in their brespective core subjexts (CSE<AI-ML etc )
campus life and social interaction : campus is green , and well- maintained
placement services and infrastructure : strong placemnet supports.

Dislikes

limited girls to boys ratio : ratio is around 1:4 for girls : boys .
strict rules and attendance policy : as we all know 75% rule .
hostel life : on campus hostels are limited and which are mainly for girls .

the placement scenario at HITK is fairly good , especially for computer science and it related btranches . several knows companies visit the campus each yeaar TCS, congnixant , wipro , deloitte , pwc,virtusa , IBM, tech mahindra and some of the stat up laos Revature , ZS associate and amazon interships as well .

There is a good compus. A lot of things have been there to do ...
There are playground to play football table tennis badminton.
Education quality is very good. Faculty are much better.

Dislikes

It could not allowed the college students from gate no. 1
There are no any dress in the college during any classes
There no any rent room near the college and no boys hotel inside the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am getting to rate this college out of 80 out of 100. Thats because the quality of education is much better than other private college but there are something lack in the fest of event or any other such activities

Value for money

Likes

Classes are big, teachers are supportive in nature.
Big playgrounds, games like table tennis, football, basketball ball are there to play.
The environment is good there in the college. No ragging takes place inside the college campus.

Dislikes

No any fest happens in the college. one of the area where this college lags behind.
Students are restricted to take laptops to the college till their 1st year.

Placement Experience:

After 6th or 7th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like cognizant, Wipro, TCS visited here and there are various offers made then. Many students were getting placements for an average of 700000. About 80% students got their placements from this college.

Sweet college

Likes

Campus is very big and it is good to chill out with friends
Infrastructure is nice and environment is healthy

Dislikes

Canteen is overpriced and little taste is also not good
Travelling is little difficult near college with your vechile.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is bit old for today's generation. But u have to learn on yourself also . U can take help from faculty for your doubts. Areas of improvement is practical knowledge. Frequency of exams is may and November.

The College Life :-UNBELIEVABLE

Likes

College infrastucture. canteen and little bit environment
Sports activities, faculty, labs and many more things

Dislikes

canteen is overpriced . no transport facility for students
no fest, no parties, much more assignments

Placement Experience:

from end of third sem students are eligible for placement companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tejas and many more come in colleges .. highest on campus placement is :- rs 200000 average is 4 to 5 lakhs per year.

The Heritage Experience

Likes

It is an autonomous institute which makes it somewhat flexible with the timing of exams and practicals.
The course is aligned as per a preofessional CSE course ,which is actually impressive, keeping in mind that it is an autonomy.
The college has a certain number of fests and cultural programs that are highly interactive, you start to polish/develop social skills in the first 2-3 months of your college life

Dislikes

The faculty here is good in some branches but the physics branch has to be the worst as compared to any other institute.
The ROI offered is good but not as per the expectations ,so you might have to depend on off-campus placements for a higher pay grade.
There is a vast difference in boys to girls ratio with it being about 10:1 in every class.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem, the students are eligible to go for campus placements which are offered by companies like Cognizant ,Wipro, Infosys ,Microsoft, HCL are some major companies which recruit around 100-120 students every year. The average package offered by these companies is around 6-7 LPA and the highest is around 12-13LPA on campus, the current record comprises 89% placements from overall branches. As of now, I have planned to target certain companies otherwise, I am most likely to go for my masters through the GATE exam.

MOST PROFESSORS ARE GOOD AND ARE HELPFUL .THEY ARE EDUCATED ENOUGH TO TEACH
THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING HAPPENING IN COLLEGE LIKE : HACKATHON , GUEST INVITATION , STARTUPS RELATED SEMINAR ETC;

COLLEGE IS SMALL ,CAMPUS LIFE IS NEGLIGIBLE , ITS LIKE DOING BTECH IN A SCHOOL

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is not too good . There are limited recruitments . Some companies like TCS , COGNIZANT comes to our college . Over a few year it has declined more Average package : 4LPA HIghest package : 12 LPA ( as per my knowledge) This college i guss is more suitable for gate preparation rather than placements

Most of the professors are very understanding and are highly educated. They dedicatedly teaches their subject and also they solve doubts outside the classroom or you can meet them personally regarding your doubts .
HIT have excellent sports facility . It has seperate grounds for tennis , cricket (small+big),basketball,football,rockclimbing,archery,shooting,.Also it has indoor facilities for chess shooting, tabletennis . And dedicated coaches for each sport.
HIT organises many events , have many societies , also have GDG (one of the largest in Kolkata) . And you are free to join any of these societies.

Dislikes

Here most of the teachers are from WB , so sometimes they start talking in Bangla so as a Non - Bengali you sometimes feel left-out.
Also most of the students are from WB so in starting it takes some time to patch-up with them.
There are many more sports like rock-climbing, swimming, shot - put ,etc but only for school students .

Placement Experience:

Talking about CSE in 2024 the highest pakage was 1.16 cr (of campus ) with an average of 7-8 lpa(in CSE) . With a percentage placement of 80% in CSE . Talking about 2023 the highest pakage was 75 lpa with a median pakage of 4.83 lpa (all branches combined).

Life at Heritage!!

Faculty Response: All the faculties are very co-operative and helpful in nature and they encourages us to try new things.
Best yet Affordable: This is best private engineering college in West Bengal yet quite affordable than others.
Central Library: Campus has a very beautiful central library with the capacity of 300+ students equipped with centralized air conditioner.

Dislikes

Fest: There is no fest took place from the last 4-5 years(i.e., Cultural, & Tech fest).
Canteen: Food tastes really good but our canteen has shifted to the main playground which is kind of unbearable in summers.
Assignments: There are lot of assignments given by the teachers but they will also helps you with your doubt at any time.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students are eligible for placements. However, they can do an internship in any semester. Companies visited: TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, Capgemini, Wipro, etc. Highest Package: Rs. 15Lakh Average Package: Rs. 3.5Lakh Percentage of the students getting place varies from department to department, for CSE it is: 80-85%+

Heritage Institute of Technology is the best private college in Kolkata with good campus life. A senior of mine is an alumnus of the college and he always speaks about its infrastructure, placements, and campus facilities.

Location: - It is located near the prime market of Kolkata making it well connected to communication services.
Fees: - The fess has been increased slightly but if admission is granted you’re are eligible to apply for a study loan
Labs: - All the facilities and the technologies in the lab are up to date and well equipped for ease of handling by the students.
Professors: - all the professors are highly experienced, some with a Ph.D. degree, and they are well known and acknowledged in society.
Library: - Fully stacked with books, articles, research papers and has access to many foreign libraries accessing outside files.

The campus has a huge ground and it also has a large pond. It has a very well-maintained infrastructure. They also provide students with all the necessary facilities. The canteen serves very well but it is really expensive. But overall it is manageable for students.
