Likes

Students can get scholarships like swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship.
Companies like tcs, wipro, info, tejas network, grant thomson, pwc india, ibm, etc, and the placement percentage is also so good approx 90 percent of students get placed.
The campus is so beautiful and peaceful . the natural environment is there so i liked it

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
From the last 3 year's there is no fest organized due to students fight
There are no boys hostel inside campus which is not good

All you need to know about HERITAGE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

Likes

The first thing i liked is the infrastructure, it's too good when you compare with other colleges in Kolkata. We get good field for sports and events too
The laborateries are very clean and has more than enough equipments to perform the tasks given
The college provides a number of mentorship programs in the campus itself which gives us very innovative ideas to start with

Dislikes

The faculty of teaching are poor as they try to just make us study the things only coming for semester
There's a language barrier as most of people including teachers teaches in Bengali
They don't conduct mid sem which results in extreme pressure during the end of semester

Placement Experience:

Usually, Students get eligible from the end of 3rd year for the campus placement. There are different companies which include TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, NINJA, AMAZON, etc. which offers students for an average of 6 lakhs per annum to 20 lakhs per annum. But students to get eligible to sit in placement cells should maintain a base average CGPA. Almost 60 to 70 percent of the students get placed in good companies. I am personally targeting Amazon to get a good amount as my specialization will be very beneficial for them.

The engagement with the campus is good as a first' year there is no such ragging in this college
You will be provided the best faculty. The faculties are very supportive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As this college is a autonomous college in west bengal, his college provides you it's own syllabus which is best to help students to learn various things and provides practical 5 times in a week which proves that the college is practical based.

I like about my college is the infra structures. Full of greenary and trees.
I like about the college is very good faculties and lab facilities

Dislikes

Nothing to dislike about our college but one thing is no fest till 3 years

Placement Experience:

For computer science and engineering student placement is good. Almost everyone get the placement offer on campus. But in case any one do not get campus placement the can apply off campus and as the college is one of the top colleges in kolkata you will get benefits for this.

Story of HIT, Kolkata

Likes

Campus is better than most of the colleges in west bengal

Dislikes

Placements are not upto the mark, companies do come but they hire for a very small amount
A proper student body doesn't exist , there have been no fests since last 4-5 years

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is pretty messed up, companies do come but most of them are mass recruiters from Kolkata and the package is just the bare minimum, we are allowed to sit in campus since the 7th semester. Companies like TCS, Cognizant Capgemini, EY are some of the major recruiters, highest package from campus goes around 10-12 LPA and average is around 4-4.5 LPA. Around 55-65% students get placed.

The college placement is decent .oncampus placement go at max till 10 lpa.while off campus placement go as high as 45 .Tpo of our college is very helpful and listen to whatever students say.majority of the students who appear for placement gets a job

The True Picture

Likes

This college has hype of being good in kolkata.
It has a basketball court, sports ground and Archery facility.
Some of the professors are brilliant and it's good to know them.

Dislikes

The inclusion of 4 surprise class test instead of mid- sem.
All the college sports property is mainly school property and college students can go to play after 3.30 pm only.
Strict in and out time in the college campus is not good

Placement Experience:

campus placements are low because mass recruiters come and hire a lot of student but with low package of 3.8 lacs Other than that some good companies come with package upto 15 lacs but often hire anybody.

Beautiful campus

Dislikes

Students here in this college are more focused on academics as compared to other co-curricular activities

Placement Experience:

The college gets you job ready. On campus placements are usually good. Most students get placed. Other than that, you are encouraged to take up higher studies as well. Personally, I plan to take up masters in a premier institution.

Likes

Good infrastructure where everything is well maintained and kept neat and clean.
Campus life is quite good and everything is kept quite neat and clean as environment issues are taken care of.
Teachers are very friendly and they make sure all the doubts are cleared and the concepts are well taught

Dislikes

No cultural or technical fests were held in the 3 years of my college life.
No freshers or farewell to the 1st and the 4th years
Surprise tests are taken like school which should be abandonned.

Placement Experience:

The students can sit for placements from 7th semester.Although there is no internship drive in our college but students get placed in top MNCs including TCS, Wipro ,Cognizant,etc. The highest package this year was 10 lakhs per annum.

The dark side

Likes

There is no any class attendance criteria from the teacher end if you do the classes approx 30% to 40% then you will be safe.
The campus is big in West Bengal as compared to all other college

Dislikes

This college didn't give any freshers and Fest to the students
The college only takes exams from the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good all the things happen in smooth way but the college have to take care to take less exams as compared to now because they take lots of tests from students. Apart from that every thing is happen in good way.

I like the campus . It has big playground and also 3 canteens are there .

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is all over good and maximum of students have placed here in campus selection with Average package of 8-9 lakhs per annum . Many of companies like TCS , Wipro cognizant comes here .

Heritage Institute of Technology is the best private college in Kolkata with good campus life. A senior of mine is an alumnus of the college and he always speaks about its infrastructure, placements, and campus facilities.

Location: - It is located near the prime market of Kolkata making it well connected to communication services.
Fees: - The fess has been increased slightly but if admission is granted you’re are eligible to apply for a study loan
Labs: - All the facilities and the technologies in the lab are up to date and well equipped for ease of handling by the students.
Professors: - all the professors are highly experienced, some with a Ph.D. degree, and they are well known and acknowledged in society.
Library: - Fully stacked with books, articles, research papers and has access to many foreign libraries accessing outside files.
