Better college life the other college from WBJEE
This is autonomous college ,easy to score good CGPA
No college uniform ,No need uniform you can as many fashion you want

Dislikes

No Boys Hostel inside College , One hostel for Boys outside campus and only for 1st year
If you not from West Bengal and don't Bengali it little difficult to make friends and to understand in class
Many teachers speak Bengali , i will find difficult to understand in first year

Admission:

If you are given WBJEE exam and you not able to get Jadavpur univercity or Colkata univercity .Colkata univercity and IEM is very little campuss and IEM is very strict college .It is like school Here campuss is biggest in kolkata through WBJEE. Don't take branch lower than ECE. More My point of view ECE is best branch hear.

The college is affordable and it is one of the best colleges of this region
The faculties are thorough in ther subjects,they are approachable and helpful towards students not only academics but in othet fields too.
The campus has a very good library stocked with all the required and relevant books

Dislikes

Campus life is not upto the mark.College does not organise fests or grand cultural events
College could be better in placements as I find that the placement cell does not make much efforts from its end to bring better companies to college

Admission:

I was able to secure admission in RVC banglore but failed to arrange money on time.This college is affordable and one of the best in this region.Faculties are good and placements are decent and it has its good name in Bengal.One can get admission through JEE or WBJEE examination. One need to score around 97 percentile in JEE to get top branch and around 4000 rank in WBJEE to get top branches.Rest the admission process is very simple.You need to just participate in WBJEE counselling and follow the steps

A brief intro on my college

Likes

I got a huge opportunity after getting into this college.
I really think my branch ece is better than others according to scopes and facilities like research.
Overall a good campus life. Yupp and the sports part are interesting. Also there is a meditation centre.

Dislikes

I guess the class atmosphere can get better.
The administration never listen to the students.
I guess for me communication is the biggest pressure in my college life. So here's a lotore to say really .

Admission:

During the admission as per the previous semester fees we have the pay around 71000 where the 1st semester exam fees were also included. And the total college fees was less than 400000 that is why I choosed this college. But now this is around 506000. My admission was through webjee .

I got confirmed admissions from MAKAUT and Serampore but I choose Heritage because I saw this college has much good ratio than others . I also heard about Heritage frequent times . As you all know every college has their own cutoff...Heritage is not exceptional .

In my department faculty is very good polite. Three play grounds are also there. Overall placement record is also good.
Canteen area is clean and food is also cheep and good.
college provides scholarships and summer internships for students.

Dislikes

College overall fees is very high and no college annual feast is organished.
Lads are no updated poor quality labs in civil department.
student teacher coordination is very less

You can take admission through WBJEE or JEE MAINS in our college. Cuttoff for WBJEE candidates are under 10000 and for mains under 30000 with minimum 60% marks in bord exam.Counselling process is control by WBJEE board.Admission fees is around 60k(with first sem tution fees)

The placement cell is quite competent here and many mainstream companies come to hire students.
The faculties are quite helpful and sincere in their respective roles and are highly qualified
The infrastructure is quite sound and up to the mark with the top tier colleges.

I applied to various other colleges like JU, KGEC and JGEC, CU but my rank was not high enough to get a cse/ece in those colleges and when it came to choosing the college over the stream. i preferred to choose the better stream over the college and because of this reason, I chose data science in HIT Kolkata over Mechanical in KGEC and ECE/Civil in JGEC. The admission process in our college is done via the WBJEE and JEE MAIN Counselling Processes. 2024's cutoff was higher than that of 2023 and 2022. After 6 months of my experience in this college and hostel, i would day the environment of the college is quite friendly.
some of the professors are really good and supportive. They will be ready to help you whenever you contact them.
Library of HITK is a place where you will love spending time. You may find books related to your academic request here.

Dislikes

If you are coming here with the expectations of life like NIT , IIT wala life then my dear the college environment gonna hurt you.
No fests and big celebs will be coming to your college
Being in hostel too, you will not be able to enjoy the night out experience freely

Admission:

The simple answer to this question will be that I was not available with other options. In the first round I was allotted NSEC IT branch . But I wanted a better college name and environment so I opted for this college. Even if you are getting lower branches in this college kindly go for it. Study hard for 1 yr and change your dept rather than going to a poor college it is better to come here. good colleges lists include HIT haldia , IEM , NSEC , techno main

There is a good compus. A lot of things have been there to do ...
There are playground to play football table tennis badminton.
Education quality is very good. Faculty are much better.

It could not allowed the college students from gate no. 1
There are no any dress in the college during any classes
There no any rent room near the college and no boys hotel inside the college.

Admission:

There is no any option . For me and my parents wants to get admission in the current year not ggoing for the drop year even i score 92%tile in the current year mains examination.but my parents are not convinced.

The large green campus, friendly environment, large library, good lab facilities
Very helpful teachers, good department, less fees structure in comparison with other colleges.
Good placements in courses like computer science and others

Dislikes

Not good placements for stream like Biotechnology specially if you are doing masters
The location of the campus is quite outskirt
Placements in master degree could be better

Heritage institute of technology is one of the best private engineering college in Kolkata as well as in west bengal for the stream of Biotechnology. The fees structure is also less in comparison with other colleges but the placements could have been better although

Classes are big, teachers are supportive in nature.
Big playgrounds, games like table tennis, football, basketball ball are there to play.
The environment is good there in the college. No ragging takes place inside the college campus.

Dislikes

No any fest happens in the college. one of the area where this college lags behind.
Students are restricted to take laptops to the college till their 1st year.

Admission:

Actually here in this college, admissions are taken on the basis of results of WBJEE, or the results of Jee mains. And then comes for the management quota. Then I had very good marks in the Wbjee. And my rank was good enough to get admission in the CSE core in this college. And I prefer Heritage over any other colleges because of the things that this college was giving and others were not . Means the campus area is large, teachers are good, a good library, sports and games, and the fees it was charging from the students and also the most importantly placement take place here, various companies come here to recruite the students. So these tempted me to get in there and I got the admission in this very college.

Before making a decision on what college you want to get admitted to there are some factors that must be kept in mind: the quality of academics and faculty, extra-curricular activities, the record of recent placements.

In the Heritage Institute of Technology, the head of the department barely ever engaged in any interaction with the students and never had a say in any matter.
The quality of the faculty members is not good. There are exceptions but most of them lack knowledge so they are of not much help.
No events involving extra-curricular activities take place on the campus.
Talking about the placements, the average salary package is only around INR 3-4 LPA. Companies like Wipro and TCS visit the campus but the job roles offered are not good.

There are far better options such as IEM and Techno India. Heritage is an overhyped institute. Also, look for institutes that are not in Kolkata if you want better exposure.

It’s better if you start your preparation for next year by dropping a year. Aim for a rank below 10000. One of my friends took a year drop last year and jumped from 77000 ranks to below 8000. If he can do it, you can also do it. It is not impossible.

However, if you do not want to take a drop and anyhow want to take admission at Heritage then there is a management quota to help you out.

Both the choices are decent so you can choose either. But, as I don't know exactly which branch of DSU are you asking about; but if you are talking about DSU (Kumar swami layout) then go for it; and if not NHCE is better.

If you are hard-working go for DSU as placements for CSE and ISE are the same and you should prepare for the campus placements as well. In DSU the average and highest CTC offered is 4 LPA and 15 LPA.
If you are an average student in CSE, then NHCE offers 100% placements for CSE. In recent years the average CTC offered at the institute is 3 LPA.
If you are going to an engineering college in search of a decent job then go for NHCE.

And let me clear that, 100% placements mean there are no specifications of package you will be given. You might get a company to work with a 1 LPA salary or a 12 LPA salary depends on your caliber and knowledge.

With your rank, it might be not possible to get CSE at the Heritage Institute of Technology. WBJEE Cut off for 2021 closed at 3198 for All-India Quota. Except for CSE, you can get any other branch at HIT or you can wait for further rounds.

Before opting for Heritage, you must know that the fee structure is quite high at the institute. Even if you are financially stable, it might not be a good idea to go there. The academic curriculum is outdated and the environment is not appropriate for engineering.

You will see rich kids joining the college, fashion parades, luxurious cars and etc. There is nothing as such engineering at HIT but only fun. This lavishness is all thriving in the city where there are majorly people who are striving for a job being in their thirties only.

With a rank of 3870, your prospects of receiving CSE at Heritage are very good. According to the 2021 cutoff trends, the required cutoff for the branch was 3214.

If you have got ECE in the first round of counseling there is no risk entering into the 2nd round as you will not lose your allocated seat. Additionally, you cannot lock your seat in the first round. This option is available only after the second round of counseling.

The bottom line is that once you've been allocated a college and a major, it can’t be taken away. It will only be upgraded if someone above you does not enroll in the college or the course to which they have been assigned. CSE is available and is simple to obtain. Also, I believe there is no risk factor; therefore, you may keep your seat and proceed to the second round of counseling.
