Students can get scholarships like swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship.
Companies like tcs, wipro, info, tejas network, grant thomson, pwc india, ibm, etc, and the placement percentage is also so good approx 90 percent of students get placed.
The campus is so beautiful and peaceful . the natural environment is there so i liked it

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
From the last 3 year's there is no fest organized due to students fight
There are no boys hostel inside campus which is not good

There is no as such pressure of attendance from second year
Students are very friendly here they are supportive also
Infrastructure is good library has centralised ac system

Dislikes

Placements are not good as expected it can be cured
Classrooms doesn't have ac and student intake is also a major problem

From fifth and sixth semester students get eligible for placement Tsc does not came this year but many companies came like microsoft Deloitte and etc Highest package is around 11lpa lowesr package was 2 lpa and average was 4 lpa

Practical Learning with a Friendly Campus Culture

Likes

Safe campus environment with strict anti ragging policy there is no chance of ragging because of college strict ragging policy.
Active campus life with cultural fest, technical events and students clubs and in every month around one to two event happens usually
Supportive and qualified faculty with strong knowledge and well mannered.

Dislikes

There is no ac in classroom so it is diificult in summer for us to seat in the classroom
Placement support is so poor, there is no training and aptitude class provided by them and they did not even help you during placement time
Companies from IT, finance, consulting and sales provided placement to cse branch and our branch gets very few oppurtunity

Placement Experience:

The placement performance in my college is average few student get decent placement otherwise many sales company come and took the student .Around 30 percent student in my class got placement by college other strudents get placed by thereselves there is no role of placement and training department in this.

Shaping My Future: A Comprehensive Review of College Life and Academics

Likes

Decent infrastructure for academic , classroom are well equipped and library is well maintained with textbooks, journals and digital access to certain resources.
Best campus life , the campus has an active environment with tech fest , events, and cultural program.
Supportive faculty, faculty members are well qualified and supportive in nature and teaching methods includes PPTs, lab session

Dislikes

No ac in classroom , specially in summer it is very difficult for us to seat in classroom.
Placement support can be improved, the training and placement cell are not so supportive in nature
Hostel and Mess facilities are poor they can be improved and food quality can fluctuate depending on mess incharge.

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester companies started coming and there is different criteria for different companies like some company have criteria for more then 8.5 cgpa will be able to seat only in their placement conducting it is totally based on company preferences. The highest package was 9 lpa and average package was 3 lpa. Around 60 percent student get placed in my department.

Likes

Supportive faculty and good academic culture most of the faculty members are well qualified and approachable.
The campus life was good and an active environment with events, cultural program,tech program
Decent infrastructure for academic , the library are well stocked with textbooks.

Dislikes

Placement support faculty is so worse they did not help students if they find any difficulties during their placements
Hostel and mess facility they did not provide food as best quality according to money they taken
Language barriers there are most of the faculty are from west bengal and they even talk in class in Bengali so if you don't know Bengali then it can be difficult

Placement Experience:

Companies started coming around 7 th semester there is different criteria for different companies like you have more tan nine cgpa then you are eligible for that particular company. Around 50 percent people in my class get placed . Companies like TCS ,wipro EY are mass hiring company.

The life in HITK

Likes

Well maintained and modern equipments in lab and sincere teaching methods which makes a student exam ready. The exam structure is very well patterned. It aligns perfectly with the study schedule. Teachers are very liberal and helpful.
The campus life is also perfect. Playgrounds and sport facilities is top notch. The canteen also has a great variety of items everyday for students. The campus is pretty clean.
There are many clubs for students to engage in other social and cultural activities. It really enlightens the mood and competitive spirit of one.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Likes

Most professor were experts in their field and encourage research oriented learning.
Cultural fest, sports, technical event ensure overall personality development
Strict anti ragging policies and good campus security created a safe atmosphere for everyone

Dislikes

There is no Air Conditioner in the class so in summer it is very difficult to seat in classroom.
Hostel mess food was average and there is no taste at all. There are not providing the facilities like they are taking money.
Placement opportunities are not so good and placement coordinator are also not helping with when you face any difficulties like receiving mail from companies

Placement Experience:

Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. The average package is 3.5 lpa .Most of the student get hired by tcs. Placement success based on branch and skill.

Heritage - A Review for Peers

Likes

Good helpful and responsible faculty with great connections.
Clubs of the institute who organise respective fests.
Green campus, open spaces and good food in cafeterias

Dislikes

Not enough sports facilities, except football and cricket
Difficulty in talking to higher authorities
Placement issues, Companies withdrawing at the end

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 7th semester and that's when the companies start approaching. In 2025, for biotechnology, companies such as TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Nestle, Zifo visited. A total of 12 offers were made. 50% students were placed among who registered. I am currently pursuing M.E in BIOPROCESS TECHNOLOGY from JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY.

academic and faculty expericences : most proffesores are knowledgeblew and expeerricend in their brespective core subjexts (CSE<AI-ML etc )
campus life and social interaction : campus is green , and well- maintained
placement services and infrastructure : strong placemnet supports.

Dislikes

limited girls to boys ratio : ratio is around 1:4 for girls : boys .
strict rules and attendance policy : as we all know 75% rule .
hostel life : on campus hostels are limited and which are mainly for girls .

Better college life the other college from WBJEE
This is autonomous college ,easy to score good CGPA
No college uniform ,No need uniform you can as many fashion you want

Dislikes

No Boys Hostel inside College , One hostel for Boys outside campus and only for 1st year
If you not from West Bengal and don't Bengali it little difficult to make friends and to understand in class
Many teachers speak Bengali , i will find difficult to understand in first year

Placement Experience:

I have taken addmission in 2024 and I will Graduate in 2028 My branch is ECE No core companies come hear Only IT companies come hear (EY,TCS,Wipro etc Higest pakage are generally 10 lakh to 12 lakh 90 percent placement happen is CSE,IT,DS,AIML,IOT and 80 percent is ECE brach many student prepare for GATE exam

Likes

The college is affordable and it is one of the best colleges of this region
The faculties are thorough in ther subjects,they are approachable and helpful towards students not only academics but in othet fields too.
The campus has a very good library stocked with all the required and relevant books

Dislikes

Campus life is not upto the mark.College does not organise fests or grand cultural events
College could be better in placements as I find that the placement cell does not make much efforts from its end to bring better companies to college

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 6 th semester. The companies that visits are generally mass recruiters like TCS ,wipro,cognizant, infosys but some of the good companies do visit.Justpay visited and offered 28 lacs ctc but picked only 10 Students. HIghest package on campus is 32 lakhs and average 5.5 lakhs .Off campus 1.2 Cr.They come for various roles such as app design ,SDE role etc and around 75 percent Students get placed.I have plan to do masters after completing my btech

Heritage Institute of Technology is the best private college in Kolkata with good campus life. A senior of mine is an alumnus of the college and he always speaks about its infrastructure, placements, and campus facilities.

Location: - It is located near the prime market of Kolkata making it well connected to communication services.
Fees: - The fess has been increased slightly but if admission is granted you’re are eligible to apply for a study loan
Labs: - All the facilities and the technologies in the lab are up to date and well equipped for ease of handling by the students.
Professors: - all the professors are highly experienced, some with a Ph.D. degree, and they are well known and acknowledged in society.
Library: - Fully stacked with books, articles, research papers and has access to many foreign libraries accessing outside files.
