- Campus life is not upto the mark.College does not organise fests or grand cultural events
- College could be better in placements as I find that the placement cell does not make much efforts from its end to bring better companies to college
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus is updated and is according to the current industry needs Information Technology is great branch and has a lot of scope as it solves real world problems.college could arrange more industrial visits and provide more practical knowledge of the subject. Two exams are held per semester one is mid sem and a end term.Besides this surprise tests are also conducted and examinations are not so difficult to clear.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements from 6 th semester. The companies that visits are generally mass recruiters like TCS ,wipro, cognizant, infosys but some of the good companies do visit.Justpay visited and offered 28 lacs ctc but picked only 10 Students. HIghest package on campus is 32 lakhs and average 5.5 lakhs .Off campus 1.2 Cr.They come for various roles such as app design ,SDE role etc and around 75 percent Students get placed.I have plan to do masters after completing my btech
Fees and Financial Aid
At first the fees was around 4 lakhs for the course but now it has increased by 25000 per semester that is around 6 lakhs for the complete course. I paid around 69,500 for the current semester. This fee includes 10,000 as development fee Economically weaker students belonging to TFW category has to pay just 10000 per semester.Besides we need to pay 1200 as exam fee per semesterand 500 yearly makaut registration fees. There is scholarship which can be availed by bengal domicile students as it is provided by Bengal government
Campus Life
The annual fest is Eclesia and it also conducts a tech fest but it has not conducted it since COVID. The library is equipped with all sorts of required books and journals and is a great place to sit and study. The classrooms are equipped with projectors and lans are maintenend. There are sports events held in the college and it provides ample opportunities in sports field. There are many active clubs like ghungroo,Anubhav etc whic help in personality development of students
Admission
I was able to secure admission in RVC banglore but failed to arrange money on time. This college is affordable and one of the best in this region.Faculties are good and placements are decent and it has its good name in Bengal. One can get admission through JEE or WBJEE examination. One need to score around 97 percentile in JEE to get top branch and around 4000 rank in WBJEE to get top branches.Rest the admission process is very simple. You need to just participate in WBJEE counselling and follow the steps
Faculty
The faculties are very much thorough in their subject and has a vast knowledge in their respective fields .They are very much approachable and very helpful towards students. Rituparna mam ,Sudipta bhadra sir and satrupa mam are great teachers and make great efforts from their end to help students.I don't like SND sir because of his way of teaching.Every semester has two exams a mid term and a end term .If one make a little effort and solve the suggestives one can score good marks
Night Life
College does not have gym facilities but has two cafeteria and canteens but they are not upto the mark.College does not provide hostel facilities for boys and it is limited to girls. There is a lake side area which is a great hangout place and it is perfectly safe at night
Other Applied Colleges
Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
More no of students in a class and it seemed placements records were not up to expectation that is in comparison to strength
