Teacher are so good. they behave very well. they support all time
Yes, they provide scholarship fees, the job opportunities are also good and placements are also good.
Amazing campus and social life. sports culture is one of the best in this college and also the main thing that is placements are the main attraction point of this college

Dislikes

The hostels facility is not so good. the bathrooms are not so clean and there are hygiene issues. the food in the mess is not that much healthy.
The things i disliked about my college is the teachers. sometimes the teachers teaches us in bengali language which is not understand by all the students
The infrastructure of the class is not prominent. we have to ware college uniforms everyday. the projectors are broken in the class. there are broken benches in the class.

My College review

Likes

the campus is good. it is friendly fo the students with lots of trees.
teachers are friendly (some teachers). no attendance pressure.
the overall expreience is good .. the seniors are helpful (not all seniors)

Dislikes

some teachers are disgusting ... they only tell us to go to college an dwe will learn all, but in the college there will no chace for getting good industry ready knowledge .
the course is not industry ready, the course is out of recent era.
some seniors are disgusting. the do not do their own work and harrus the juniors.

Placement Experience:

- from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. - name os the companies visited: Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, KPMG, Delloitte etc... - cognizant : 5.8LPA, wipro : 4.5LPA, KPMG : 5.8LPA, Delloitte: 8LPA - 89% of students get placements. - do a job.

All About "Haldia Institute Of Technology"

Likes

Most of the HoDs of this college is quiet knowledgeable and helps out student in research work.
The labs are well fitted with equipment and desktops has good configuration.
There is a printing and stationary shop inside the college building.

Dislikes

Some faculties are over confident and does partiality with some students.
The mess food is too bad, especially the rice.
There is a basketball ground but faculties has converted it into a car parking

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

The college is good for studies and placement.
haldia institute of technology also provide interships
The campus is also very good and full with greenery

Dislikes

There is not more to dislike in haldia institute of technology
The classroom is little old type but provide air conditioner
There is timing for entry and exit for hostels that is most disliked thing for every student

Placements at haldia institute of technology are moderate and improving espicially in cse It Aiml and ECE core branches like ME EE CE FT placements are nearly limited and many students are relatively limited and many students explore off campus opportunities higher studies or skill based jobs Highest package is 10-12 LPA average package is 5-6 LPA 80-90% students gets placed off or in campus placement Cse aiml it Ds get better placement then the core branches get placed decent

Excellent Campus Man..The first Day I visited the college I was just wow and the surrounding is also so peaceful
The Faculty and departments were A1 Category..departmental clubs nd all excellent
The college is fully appreciated with all thingss faculty, departments, campus Excellence in HIT etc

Dislikes

Hostel Food is not that good. I prefer PGs over hostel.
Hostels are conjusted 4 students in 1 roomis a bit suffocating
In hostels a almirah should be provided to each student which is basic need

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students aree eligible for campus placement.. many companies visit like Tata Steel, Mahindra, Adani, JSW, Supergas etc Core companies... Almost 90 percent of last year batch got placed.. average package is around 5.5 LPA increasing year by year. Highest package is 46 LPA in software companies. There is 29 LPA from Mechanical...40 LPA from electrical Depends upon you how you crack the placements..

I like that the pollution near and around the campus is absolutely less than my hometown, you can walk around and appreciate nature. A bike ride around the area is enough to keep your mind fresh
Teachers are nice and helpful, everyone has bad days so do not mind if they yell at you. They will guide you a lot if you do not shy away.

Placement Experience:

Placement season typically starts from 7th semester but for early drives, students are eligible from 5th and 6th semesters. 2025 - 83 companies had visited. 2022-2023 - 152 companies had visited. 2020-2021 - 83 companies. This year overall placement percentage is 91.48%. Average package this year is 5 LPA however it ranges from 4 LPA - 6 LPA highest package is 40 LPA . Companies that arrive are : TCS, INFOSYS, IBM, WIPRO, AMAZON, PAYTYM, PWC, HPL, ACMEGRDE, and many manny more. There are lots of companies that visit our college .

Ragging free campus is any ragging will happen fast action is take by faculty
Huge campus with good infrastructure and AC in departmental class room
very good labs for CORE branch, Having approximately every equipment

Dislikes

Lack of ground area , two small ground for sports and fest
rules of hostel at night after 8:00pm you can't go outside hostel
without paying semester fee you can't sit in any exam

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. A few companies which visit the college are TCS, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, IBM, COGNIZANT, HUL, HCL, INDIAN OIL, MITSUBSHI, NJ INDIA, D-POWER,ETC. all the companies offer placement. highest on-campus package = inr 33 lakh where as the average is around 6lpa. After the degree, I plan to get a good placement in a core company and opt for GATE.

A mixture of pleasent and bizzare experiences

Not very reliable on college studies instead a good environment to improve skills being a tier 2 college.
Some teachers are good. They are cooperative in every field
Good events take place every now and then in a short period of time.

Dislikes

Seniors are very ridiculous. They leave a very negative impact on juniors and freshers. Even cases of violence happen often
Some faculties are very rude and cruel being very harsh on the students . Even come to being abusive on some students. Specially the teachers of the first years are like the one I mentioned
Lack of sports facilities. Although have a couple of big grounds but no such culture of sports is there.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good . More than 90% students are placed if they have a decent skill set. Companies like Capgemini TCS and Accenture visit the campus every year. Highest in 2024 was 33 lpa and average is 7-8 lpa.

Life at HIT

Likes

I loved the concept of different society, clubs in my college. As i was the management Head for IETE Society.
I loved the guidance from my teachers, mentors and HOD of my dept.
I loved my big college campus and fest which organised there was great.

Dislikes

I disliked the ragging culture of my college.
I disliked the year 2024 in my college because the fest got cancelled.

Placement Experience:

At HIT, students become eligible for placement from 7th sem. but many companies start their hiring from 6th sem for early and easy going placement drives. In terms of placement, 2024 was not very good due to recession and hiring slowdown. Many companies either skipped campus drives or hires fewer students than usual. After completing my course, i plan to focus on off- campus placement.

The college architecture will good and vast with respect to other private colleges in WB.
This college trying to give good placement rate.

Dislikes

It's location was not good. It is village type area.

Placement Experience:

College provied campusing every year. They try to make every student to be placed. The avg package of this college is near about 3.6 to 4.8 LPA. ALso off campusing facilites are there. Even internship opportunities are provided by the college itself.but they take 8000 rs for campus internship for 1 month.

The college is well decorated. The natural beauty and architecture will make you fall in love for the building.

Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC

Courses:

The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.

Placements:

As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.

Fest:

The college also organises annual cultural fest “Riviera” and annual Techno Management fest- Prayukti”. A lot of competitions and events are held during the fest and different colleges participate in the same.
