Course Curriculum Overview

5

after the 1st year the branches diverge into specialized industry aligned coursework with elective coursework in the 3rd and 4th years specifically aimed at preparing student for employment These include key subjects like DSA and dbms. Overall the curriculum is consistently described as revelent equppling students for real work challenges The institute offers well equipped lab and experiments usually upto 5 per week per student.

Internships Opportunities

5

at haldia institute of technology the internship opportunities vary by department with stronger access for cse aiml it and ece branches The college encourages internships from 3rd year onwards some students also persue winter/summer internships in second year through self effort or faculty guidence

Placement Experience

5

Placements at haldia institute of technology are moderate and improving espicially in cse It Aiml and ECE core branches like ME EE CE FT placements are nearly limited and many students are relatively limited and many students explore off campus opportunities higher studies or skill based jobs Highest package is 10-12 LPA average package is 5-6 LPA 80-90% students gets placed off or in campus placement Cse aiml it Ds get better placement then the core branches get placed decent

Fees and Financial Aid

For the 1st year the fee is 170750 For 2nd year fee is 161500 For 3rd year is fee 161500 For 4th year is fee 161500 My college provide scholarships for the students who get good rank in wbjee and jee mains

Campus Life

5

My overall campus life at haldia institite of technology has been a mixed of acedemic focus social bonding and personal growth while its not a metropoliton campus like in kolkata or bangalore HIT has its own vibrant and tight knit students culture espicially because most students stay in hostels

Hostel Facilities

5

HIT offers different hostels for boys and girls with multiple blocks based on year or department The hostel's facilities are decent and comfortable espicially for semi urban location like haldia most students choose to stay in hostels in the 1st year There are multiple types of rooms single bed double bed tripple bed and four bed with nice cleanliness and wifi available each hostel has its own mess facilities with veg food and non veg food Food are average cost

Admission

I choose haldia institute of technology as it offers a good balanced between affordability infrastructure reputation and academic quality espicially for btech conputer science. HIT is the oldest private engineering college in west bengal with nice nirf ranking with huge campus of 50 acres and well maintained Hostels for boys and girls Average 4-5 lakh placements TCS infosys wipro I have aimed for jadhavpur and IEM kolkata but couldn't make it due to wbjee rank just below cut off some private college were out of my budget like amity and kiit The admission process is smoot and take students through wbjee counseling then seat allotment after this documents verification then admission

Faculty

5

The faculty is also impressive and there are many teachers for single subject All the faculty behaviour is nice through all the students. In 1 semester there are 3 internal exams of 15 marks and 1 main semester exam of 70 marks and 30 marka practical exam

Night Life

5

The nightlife inside HIT campus quite but likely in its own way not in terms of pubs or clubs but in terms of hostel life group bonding and late night hangouts there are common rooms in hostels which are opened till the students play like carrom table tennis since haldia is small industrial town tbe off campus life is very limited you will not found nigh clubs or pubs or a night life scene like kolkata and bangalore however there are small cafes street food stall and tea shops which are opened till 12 o clock at night
