Remarks
In B.tech admission 80% of seats are based on WBJEE Score ,10% of seats are based on JEE MAINS Score through councelling and rest 10% seats are based on management quota as per guidlines of West Bengal government. JELET exam is conducted for admission through lateral entery . Apart from b.tech , the college also offers M.Tech through WBUT PGET or GATE Scores and MBA through MAT or JEMAT Scores.
Course Curriculum Overview
Most of the faculty members are from IIT,IIEST and Jadhavpur University.Most of them in my department are senior and highly experienced.Some professors have even studied abroad.They make us understand each topic with much care and also with patience.They are strict and believe in discipline.I am in IT'A'.There are only 10 girls out of 64 students. There are four exams conducted (i.e. CA1,CA2,CA3 and CA4) before any semester.The college follows course curriculum according to the syllabus provided by MAKAUT.So,the course is quite relevant and efficient enough to make a student industry-ready.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, our college offer internship oppurtunities off campus.Some students get internship with wipro,tcs,etc.On campus internship oppurtunity are also offered to talanted students.I have a little idea for this.
Placement Experience
The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are not too much high.Fees structure:- 1st sem-79800 INR,2nd sem-65000 INR,and rest sem-56500 INR/-per sem.Total fees including all semesters is 483800 INR for B.tech course. For MBA course,total fee is 5.17 lakhs INR.For M.Tech course,total fee is 2.73 lakhs INR.For B.Tech (Lateral Entery),total fee is 3.31 lakhs INR.Above all fees are based on year 2020.NSP scholarships are available for this college.
Campus Life
Campus life of this college is awesome.There is a swimming pool pool and a beautiful medium playground inside the campus. Around 1500 computers are available in compter lab.There are around 90000 books available in the library.EDGE and ANAKHRONOS are the largest annual tech fest of my college.Time of conducting these fests may vary due to epidemic.SAMARTH club helps in prepration of civil services in my college.Robotics club in my college helps in the field of robotics science.Robotics club is most popular club in Kolkata of my college.Some social club of my college inspire students for tree plantation,blood donation and other social activities.There is a sport club also that helps those students who have interest in sports.
