Life at Techno Main Salt Lake: A Blend of Academics ,Campus Vives & Career Growth

The CSE curriculum includes C language ,Java ,Data Structures and Algorithm, DBMS,OS,Network and software development. This subjects are very much importent for Placement exam. This curriculum prepare myself with strong theoritical base . The syllabus supports GATE ,GRE and other entrance exam.There are 2 semester in each year and each sem have 4 ca so there are less time gap between ca exam and its frequently occurs. For practical subject there present Lab and viva exams also. Dificulty level are modarate if someone study regularly and exams are manageable. Subject like Math Physics and Mechanics are tough.

Students can became eligible for placement from 7th semester 4th year.Many company require a minimam cgpa of 8 and no active backlog. They conduct some Aptitude test coding test Technical Interview and Hr interview. Many top company visit TMSL like TCS,Cognizant,IBM,LTI Mindtree, HCL etc. Lowest package about 2.5 lpa and average package was about 4lpa and highest package about 10lpa. CSE & IT have highest placement rate compare to core branch .

At the time of admission , you have to pay Rs. 79800 which include 1st semester tution fee and RS.5000, admission fee. For 2nd semester the fee is Rs.66000 and for 3rd semester onwards you have to pay Rs.58000 this includes Tuition , student welfare, sports, Library & Book Bank, Training & Grooming, and FSP & SAP certification fee. Students can apply for SVMCM scholarship programme . In this scholarship they gotaround 60000 per year .

TMSL hosts multiple annual festivals one of the techno-cultural fest which happens in april its called "EDGE". There are various internal clubs like Google Gdsc , Geekonics, IIC they are organise this fest.Tmsl provides a well-stocked library with 50000+ books covering engineering management and science domain.Library rooms are Air conditioned with internet access for research.Campus have good large classrooms they are equipped with projectors.

When applying for other colleges i considered factors like placement opportunities , course curriculum, infrastructure, and affordability. some of other college i applied Heritage Institute of Technology, Institute of Engineering and Management, Kalyani Government Engineering college, Calcutta University, Jadavpur University. With my rank i get a CSE (Data Science) branch of Techno Main Salt Lake.Someone can take admission by WBJEE or JEE MAIN or management Quota . For WBJEE one need to rank approx 4000 to get a CSE branch in Techno Main Salt lake but it varies year to year.

The Faculty - Student Ratio is Approx 1:20 nut it varies depertment to depertment. Some professors are highly experiences and supportive they are approachable and helpful especially in CS&IT. Each student is generally assigned a mentor for guidance. This college is under MAKAUT so its follows MAKAUT guidelines,offering a balance of core subjects ,electives and practical labs. There are two semester per year so total 8 semester. in each semester 4 ca exam 25 marks and 1 end semester exam 70 marks. Students need at least 40% marks in each subject to pass.

TMSL is located in sector 5 kolkata which is one of the most happening palaces in city.While the college itself doesnot have much nightlife students offen unwind at nearby cafes ,street food stalls and malls after casses. No dedicated Gym inside the college but many nearby gymes are open till 10-11 pm.TMSL does not provide any hostel fecilities. Some one can rent a PG . For hangout places outside campus within 5 -10 min you can find good cafes and restaurants.
