Campus Life

5

There are lots of cultural festivals that occur or are celebrated all throughout the year like Saraswati Puja, Vishwakarma Puja, Rabindranath Jayanti and so on . You have story books provided at the library in hostel but at the college library you will get only the study materials for your specific subjects. The entire central library is divided into 3 floors all containing books and reading rooms for self study. There are ACs and smartboards installed in each and every classroom of all the floors inside the main building. Sports leagues are held at hostel as well as inter-college and inta-college sports events. There is a gymnasium provided with separate rooms for boys and girls and there is also separate timings. There are various clubs that you can join, knowing about these will be fun from the club councils themselves, so join us.

Hostel Facilities

4

well ventilated rooms. well spacious hostel rooms. hostel rent is affordable. mess menu is also very nice. the mess menu is different for different days. you will enjoy your hostel life there. food outside hostel is also very cheap and affordable, with well hygeinic areas.

Admission

I applied to this particular college because of the low expense and it being near to my state, it takes 6 hours to get there which is why I chose to stay at hostel. Good facilities are available, you will not have problem navigating the area however be careful of your surroundings. Students can enter through exams like WBJEE or JEE, the most preferred exam is WBJEE and the cutoffs for these exams are put on their website each year.

Faculty

5

I dont't really have an idea about the faculty-to-student ratio....however the faculty is extremely nice with the students, you can easily approach them provided you present decent manners, they have broken hindi so try a little bit to, you know, be able to understand the Bengali language or speak in English if you have trouble with Bengali. There is mid-sem and end-sem, the end-sem exams are a difficult compared to mid-sem exams. The teachers provide a question bank 1-2 weeks prior your exams, mostly questions come from there, in between you 3 class tests of 15 marks each. Students do clear their exams, very few people get back(fail) in their exams.

Interview Experience

5

no there were no such tests for admission process, you just had to put in the form, from then on the admission process began, that included fee payment and taking up the hostel admission card, You did have to stand in a line now.

Night Life

5

there is a well furnished gymnasium, well equipped library with all sorts of study materials. the gymnasium timing for boys and girls are different. hostel and campus in time is different aand varies according to which year you are in. two hangouts within the campus and various hangouts outside the campus.
